Thank you Summer
Good idea! No wellies though
Fancy a go at waterskiing?
Done
Engineer got the gas meter to talk to British Gas without too much difficulty so that's functioning.
Not bothering with the personal monitor - he wasn't aware that the previous engineer hadn't left me with one and didn't have one with him. As my usage is fairly static from day to day, the monitor wasn't something that I was particularly interested in and it's easy to check online as to what I have used each day. A monitor is of more use where there is more than one person living in the house. I could get one in the future if I ever decided to but I doubt if I will.
I am so pleased that you didn't have to hang around for ages and it's all finished
Squiggle, are you the one in the boat or the one being bounced along
Thanks, I'm very glad it's finished.
I'm driving and Summer is waterskiing, hope she doesn't get travel sick it looks a bit bouncy
Evening Summer.
Good morning everyone, it's raining again, I'll end up with webbed feet at this rate.
I hope the meter engineer is in and out in a flash and does a good job too.
I wonder what you will be watching or listening to while you do the ironing Yogi, it goes much fast with something to watch or listen to doesn't it?
Enjoy your day everyone
It does indeed, Squiggle. I watched an episode of Miss Marple.
Good idea! No wellies though
Fancy a go at waterskiing?
Love it!
I'd love one, thank you.
How was your day yogi?
How was your day yogi?
Delicious!
My day was fine, thanks. Housework, ironing, cooking and I started a new jigsaw tonight. Let's hope this one doesn't have two pieces missing!
How was your day?
Your day sounds very productive well done
Mines been quiet (the calm before the storm no doubt) and I've been to a gorgeous yoga class tonight
It's a Gibson jigsaw, called A Trip To The Shops, and it looks like it was set in the 50/60's. Only 500 pieces so it shouldn't take too long.
Is this the new yoga class, or your old yoga class? Either way, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
*goes green with envy*
El, I see your meter was fitted today.
Sounds gorgeous, I love scenic pics like that how long is it likely to take you?

Oops!
I can't remember how long the last one took me. I only do 30-45 minutes at a time, so it might take a few days.
How do you do online ones?
I like rooting through the box and sorting out all the pieces too.
Why am I not surprised.
What are you doing tomorrow?
What are you doing tomorrow?
Thank you.
We've got some banking to do in the morning, but nothing else planned.
If the weather is dry, I might cut the lawns.
Are you working tomorrow?
Yes I am, and hopefully off on Wednesday
Yes I am, and hopefully off on Wednesday
Greenhouse has been rubbish this year. So far, I've had ONE ripe tomato!
There simply hasn't been enough sunshine or heat.
The raised bed has been a bit better, the lettuces, herbs and onions have been good.
Do you have plans for Wednesday, or just relaxing?
Same here- one little tomato!
I've got to go now yogi, sweet dreams

Good morning everyone
Clouding over here, more rain expected by early afternoon.
Talking of tomatoes and hair, I bumped into someone from church in the local Co-op one day last week. She had 3 items, some cheese, some small tomatoes, and some hair spray. So I said to her, that's an interesting recipe, the sort of thing Heston Blumenthal might do. As the hair spray would be inflammable, she could use that to cook the cheese and tomatoes and give them an unusual taste. On Sunday she told me that she had managed to avoid setting her kitchen on fire.
Lol El, thank goodness. How on earth would she explain that to the fire brigade!
Yogi, my mum says it's an all called Jigsaw World she's currently on her 124th lol and she does them like that because she lacks table space to put. Jigsaw. Bless her
Summer, but how many pieces are the in the jigsaws on Jigsaw World? In the past when I've looked at online jigsaws they have seemed very small compared to rl jigsaws.

Thanks Summer, I'll take a look at that tonight.
Good morning everyone.
Weather is sunny atm.
Off to do some banking this morning, then gardening in the afternoon (weather permitting).
Have a good day everyone.
Morning all.
Another lovely day here, we are being spoilt
Have a good day whatever you all are up to
Good morning everyone, I am glad you are having such lovely weather Skylark, it's rubbish down here but it's nice to hear of someone at least having sunshine.
It's not been a good summer for ripening things, I know that where I live we haven't had those long periods of hot sunshine that you need. And it's already feeling very autumnal, loads of people talking about having to put their heating on in August.
I've played those jigsaws on line, there are loads of sites and when I have played on there and also real life jigsaws it is those 50's style jigsaws that I love the most. Here is another site to try http://www.jigsawplanet.com/. If I remember rightly EL the pieces come up quite small the more pieces you opt for and so that limits the number of pieces you can go for. But I think you can customise it how you choose.
I love the Heston Blumenthal recipe idea
Enjoy your day everyone
What are you up to?
Squiggle, thanks for that link, I'll pass it on to my mum
I think jigsaw world allows you to customise too, but don't quote me on it
Skylark, as squiggle says, it's good that at least you are getting lovely weather
Squiggle, I wonder what the impact on farmers in the UK has been becasue of the poor summer.
Your jigsaw site shows 4 to 300 pieces as being the range possible.
