Thanks El, I hope so too.

According to my previous consultant, GPs can be a bit quick to stop this particular tablet, so I shall mention this carry on, when I see the specialist nurse at the end of the month.

Are you due any visits soon from the baby?

Yes Yogi hopefully on Friday.

I hope all goes well EL and there's not too much of a hold-up in the traffic.

Good evening it's actually a gorgeous sunny day here for a change and I've had my tea outside in the garden! I've been to drop my books off at my accountants too.
El- is it worth my telling them that I've bought a car recently?

Oh no! Poor uggie he was so lovely

Big hugs for moonie, I hope you soon feel better, we miss you when you're not around
And skylark you too because that sounds rotten! I hope it's productive though and a positive outcome occurs

Yogi, you make me chuckle I do hope you've got cake in stock for during the bake off tonight I've bought a big cookie

Squiggle, I hope you're having a good day, your positive attitude in tough times always inspires me

I'm still trying to stay off cakes and other goodies atm, so it will be a cup of tea and a Ryvita for me.

Good mornng everyone

Very cloudy here. Dry at present. Rain is forecast but it mightn't be the deluge here as previously forecast.

OK meeting yesterday at the clients and could have got another member of their family as a client.

Skylark, those Kelpies look amazing

Yogi, you are being very good sticking to a cake free diet

Thank you Summer.  What a lovely lovely post, I like the fact that you always have a good word to say to everyone Enjoy your big cookie.  Just those words remind me of taking our grandsons out for breakfast when we went to Florida.  They had new bright orange trainers which caused quite a stir as they didn't seem to have been seen in the US at that time, the younger one's with the flashing lights.  And they were always given a ginormous cookie each to take home with them when we paid.

Very very chilly this morning, I always think of the poor holidaymakers down here trying to enjoy the school holidays, especially the campers, when it's this cold and miserable in August. The room thermometer reads 20 but it feels much colder than that to me.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning everyone it's overcast but pleasant here today.
I hope none of you in the southern counties have bad storms today and yogi I'm really pleased you finally have a summers day

Squiggle thank you you're lovely. I love the elephant pic!

Skylark's horses are fabulous, I too would be keen to see them

El, thank you, I'll email the accountant right now

I know you will all enjoy this story but I know that you especially Yogi will love it

James Crane worked on the 101st floor of Tower 1 of the World Trade Center ... He is blind so he has a golden retriever named Daisy.
After the plane hit 20 stories below, James knew that he was doomed, so he let Daisy go, out of an act of love.
She darted away into the darkened hallway.
Choking on the fumes of the jet fuel and the smoke James was just waiting to die. About 30 minutes later, Daisy comes back along with James’ boss, Who Daisy just happened to pick up on floor 112 on her first run of the building, she leads James, James’ boss, and about 300 more people out of the doomed building.
But she wasn’t through yet, she knew there were others who were trapped. So, highly against James’ wishes she ran back in the building.
On her second run, she saved 392 lives. Again she went back in. During this run, the building collapses.
James hears about this and falls on his knees into tears.
Against all known odds, Daisy makes it out alive, but this time she is carried by a firefighter. “She led us right to the people, before she got injured” the fireman explained.
Her final run saved another 273 lives. She suffered acute smoke inhalation, severe burns on all four paws, and a broken leg, but she saved 967 lives.
Daisy is the first civilian Canine to win the Medal of Honor of New York City.
Pass it on to all animal lovers.

What a truly fabulous dog Daisy is.

Interesting link, El.

Love the quote from Hamlet (if my memory is correct).

Well done Yogi

I had some gooseberry and elderflower cordial once and that's very nice.

You are correct with the first quote being from Hamlet (from the To be or not to be soliloquy). The second quote is from the epilogue at the end of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Gooseberry and elderflower sounds lovely.

I read Hamlet for Higher English, so that's why I recognised it.

I've never read A Midsummer Night's Dream, but the second quote is familiar too, so I must have read it somewhere before.

I took Keira for a short walk, it's far too hot to take her far today.

Yogi19

Yogi, there have been film versions of Midsummer Night's Dream so you may have seen one of those. There was the Kenneth Branagh version which had Michelle Pfeiffer in. There was also a black and white 1935 American version which had people such as Dick Powell and James Cagney in and the character of Puck was played by Mickey Rooney. It's quite an odd film as you can imagine but it does have some charm in it and is better than you might think from that cast.

Good morning everyone, we've had lots of rain but probably not as much as you EL.  Still very murky out there but drying up a bit, I hope.

I hope the baby visit is still on as my grandson had that sickness bug return this week, it sure is a nasty bug and I have heard it has struck all over the country.

Enjoy your day everyone

Loved that story about Daisy, I have heard it before but it still chokes me up. She absolutely deserved that honour

Are you all coming to the wedding party this afternoon?

I'll be visiting the wedding thread.

I hope the weather stays dry for Mr and Mrs Smurfy.

The rain has currently stopped here after 25mm today but it looks as if some more is expected this afternoon.

2 days of rock music 300 yards from where I live this weekend (though not after 10.30 pm) at the annual Sportsbeat festival. It gets announced weeks before so I can warn my brother not to visit me then as attempting to have a conversation would be pointless.
