Yay, hi Velvet!

All is well but you have been missed.

It's been a steady day thank you, I woke late and set myself into a panic because I knew my hair needed washing but I caught up with myself alright.
This evening was so nice I had my tea outside

I feel okay after the B12 injections. I certainly feel I have a bit more energy, but both the B12 and the Humira are supposed to do that, so I'm not sure which one is helping - maybe the combination.

I hate waking late, it knocks me out of synch for the day. I'm glad you caught up.

Lucky you, it was bright but too chilly for tea outdoors, up here.

That's great about your injections I'm really pleased to hear it. The extra energy will no doubt help when you look after PB when is she coming next?

It certainly hasn't felt like summer.

PB is coming tomorrow and I'm sure it's an overnight.

Fabulous, I bet she's a sweetheart to cuddle with. Have you got any set plans with her? Or do you play it by ear, weather according?

I had no idea what "clippers" was.

We tend to play it by ear, depending on the weather. It isn't meant to be very nice tomorrow.

It will mean Peppa Pig at some point but we'll try to take her somewhere too.

Hubby has bought her a Peppa Pig soft toy and I've got her some PP matching cards, so we'll be peppa'd to the max.

peeps children in work like peppa pig - isn't there a peppa pig world somewhere -Cotswolds?

I'm not sure where it is, but there is a Peppa Pig World, Ros.

Mr Yogi and I heard an advert for it on the car radio yesterday and commented that we couldn't eacape the little pig, wherever we go!

Good morning all.

Weather is rainy and miserable.

Getting ready for PB's arrival. It's an overnight stay so I might not be around very much until Wednesday night.

Have you seen Joe's thread about Cologne.

Yogi19

Good morning everyone

More cloud here then blue sky and likely to stay that way.

Yogi, I have seen the sad news about Cologne

I hope you have a nice time with PB

The PP world isn't in the Cotswolds, it's in the New Forest in Hampshire.

Summer, I think your non-existent clippers smiley was probably meant to be the clapping one

El Loro

Good morning everyone, very showery here. EL fancy you knowing where Peppa Pig World is!  And you have solved the mystery smiley too.

Sad news about Cologne, always sad to lose one of our precious group I know she tackled her illness bravely.

Enjoy your day Yogi, even if it rains I know PB will bring the sunshine.

Enjoy your day everyone

It's just as well I look on my local news website on a regular basis. Just discovered that the road very very close to me that I frequently use will be closed for resurfacing from the 12th to the 20th (apart from late evenings and the weekend). I'll need to use a different route but suspect that the quantity of traffic which comes down my road will be considerably increased.

According to my local news website there's been a power cut in Gloucester city centre near the main police station near the docks. Thousands of people and businesses affected and the local Wetherspoons couldn't operate tills or use the grill to cook food.

Although I'm on the outskirts and a couple of miles away from the centre my power went off for a time while I was having my lunch. Luckily I had saved my work on my computer before lunch so I haven't lost anything.

It seems that it's been the second power cut in the last 24 hours in Gloucester but I wasn't aware of the first.

*night owls* a late one for me; I've worked, walked the dog, been to yoga, grocery shopped, visited a friend on her birthday, made a curry while talking to my mum on the phone and got ready for bed- phew!

Plenty going on in your area El, I hope the road diversion isn't going to be too much trouble for you.

Squiggle I hope your internet is functioning alright

Yogi I hope you've had a fabulous day and that PB has settled down to bed nicely

Wishing you all sweet dreams

Come back soon moonie
~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone

Cloudy here, rain forecast for later.

Summer, I didn't mention with the roadworks that during them, there's another Sportsbeat festival on the local playing fields quite close to the road during the weekend which will merely add to congestion. I can understand the need for the road to be closed during the summer school holiday as there's a school on the road but it's poor plannning by the road people (the date of the Sportsbeat festival was announced many months ago).

Never make the mistake of asking for a marinara - which is a simple tomato and garlic pizza - with the addition of mozzarella in Italy, there's no such thing. Though you could ask for a margherita with garlic." (For those unfamiliar, a margherita is a pizza topped with tomato and mozzarella.)

And on the subject of food, don't forget it's black forest gateau time tonight at 8.

El Loro

Good morning everyone, lots of high cloud but dry so far.

I didn't even notice the switchover to my new ISP - they said there was going to be a 15 minute period in which I wouldn't be able to get online but it must have been when I wasn't on the computer, so that's a relief.

Off with a friend to track down a ready iced cake this morning.  She is the widow of a minister and one of her old Sunday School pupils is traveling a long way to see her this weekend - she says to celebrate her birthday but it was back at the beginning of the year.  She still wants to celebrate it with my friend which is no surprise as she is the dearest sweetest person you could hope to meet.  There's no chance of getting a cake like that locally to us so we are travelling to the nearest main town and trying our luck there.

My you were a busy bee yesterday Summer well done.

Enjoy your day everyone
