I do hope moonie is tempted back by those delicious cakes, thank you Yogi.

Sorry I haven't been around. Still got an ongoing problem with my neck and to top it all, I managed to contract a vital infection. Not my life atm

Be back when I am more able and in better health

Hope all is well in the lives of you my lovely friends

Good morning everyone

Lots of blue sky here and hardly any breeze - best day of the week.

Yogi, I hope all goes well with the injection I generally pay my road tax a few days before the end of the month in case I forgot. Also paid my July tax bill on Tuesday to get oi out of the way - wouldn't look good if an accountant forgot to pay their tax

Thanks El.

I would have liked to do it a few days early but I was waiting on my certificate of insurance arriving. When I changed cars, the insurance renewal date didn't co-ordinate well with the road tax renewal date.

BIB Definitely wouldn't be good if you were late with your tax bill payment.

Good morning an overcast and chilly start here today.
Yesterday warmed up lovely at lunch time and although the evening was cooler, it was a beautiful night. I stayed out much longer than planned with the dogs, just to make the most of it.
I logged in after tea to catch up here, got as far as strawberry tart and fell asleep!

So, yogi, I'm glad you had cake in the shopping basket and Moonie I hope that you soon recover from your viral infection we miss you

Skylark it's lovely to see you around too, I hope you all have a lovely weekend

El, indeed that wouldn't be a good example would it lol I panicked last month because I forgot to make an HMRC payment (with moving house etc) and remember the day after I should have paid it, I rang my accountant in a flap who told me not to worry because it's a one off. I paid it right away but still couldn't believe it, I'm am usually better organised
~Sparkling Summer~

Skylark, I hope you have a happy weekend as well

Summer, I think that you don't get a penalty for paying the HMRC late once, but do if you are late another time in the following 12 months. You might get charged some interest but for one day late they mightn't bother,

One day you may get the choice of it being paid automatically in the same way VAT is.

Good morning everyone, certainly the brightest morning of the week, I hope that bodes well for the weekend.

Summer no wonder you forgot about the tax payment with all the stress of moving, well done on remembering as swiftly as you did.

Skylark I hope you have a nice sunny weekend for the barbecue.  Hope all goes well with the nurse Yogi, that's the last one for a while isn't it?

I hope we see moonie (and Velvet) back with us on a more regular basis.

Enjoy your day everyone

Yes, last B12 for three months.

Still got the Humira to do myself this afternoon.

I echo your sentiments about Moonie and Velvet, they are missed.

Summer, as Squiggle said,  you had a lot going on recently so it's no wonder you forgot.

For self employed people, July should be the last month you see the class 2 national insurance being taken out of your bank account if you pay by direct debit. It's been paid in arrears and the July payment clears it uo to 5 April this year. It's now collected through the self assessment tax and class 4 national insurance (the 2015/16 tax return so due to be paid January 2017).

Cloudier than yesterday but fairly bright and not much in the rain expected.

Yogi, I'm not surprised you are fed up with rain The house will seem empty without Harv. If you go to the garden centre you could buy some water lilies.

I wouldn't need to dig a pond for them, they'd survive on top of the lawn!

I think Harv will be back next week when I have PB on an overnight, El, so we won't miss him for long.
