Dogs are so loyal and loving when they have the right owner, that's why we love them so much. You loved her and she loved you, and you gave her a happy life - that's what you need to remember.

Interesting Fake or Fortune on BBC1 yesterday evening about a very old painting in a church in a village in Lancashire.

The one thing I was puzzled about was that there was no mention of the church's terrier. That's the term applied to the inventory that Anglican churches are required to keep, nothing to do with dogs.

I would have expected the first thing to do would be to examine the old church terriers to see what was mentioned about the paining.

The vicar and churchwardens of a church in Cheltenham got a severe telling off a year ago for omitting a painting from their terrier:

I've been watching the programme, El, and find it interesting.

Yogi, I'm glad the injections weren't too bad

Apart from a little bit of blue sky for a short time it's been very cloudy all day here though next to nothing in the way of rain. I hope you have a nice time with your son.

At least in yesterday's Fake or Fortune they didn't have to attempt to get the painting accepted by the Wildenstein Institute as in the previous week. They've come up against the Wildenstein Institute before and I knew what would happen as soon as it was mentioned. The only way that Fake or Fortune would be able to get a painting by one of the French impressionists accepted by the Institute is if they got the artist him/herself to personally go to the Institute, which could be a bit difficult.

I think the equipment the weather forecaster who lives less than a mile away from me is not always wholly reliable. The site has a list of all time records (which would been since the site started). Some of the records are a bit questionable.

For instance it has a highest temperature of 39.1C. The record for the UK is 38.5C.

The most questionable record though is for the highest average wind speed which is shown at 156.5 mph

The UK record at low level is 142 mph which was in Aberdeenshire. I think I would have known about it.

I can't say what I think of them!

Doctor's receptionist phoned late afternoon. I've got to have another 5 B12 injections in the next two weeks!

Crikey yogi! That's a lot of jabs in a short space of time I think we need to get the emergency cake supplies out

Evening Summer, have you had a good day?

Not to worry, after the first six jabs, I only have one jab every three months to maintain things. Emergency cake sounds perfect.

Good morning everyone

Some sunshine here but mostly cloudy.

Yogi, we'll be calling you Saint Yogi soon as you'll be so holey

Summer, I'm glad you had a lovely relaxing evening

I'll be going out in a bit for a routine dental check up.

Some time between noon and 5 I'm getting a visit from an engineer to change my electricity and gas meters. I will have no electicity or gas for up to 3 hours so won't be around here during then.
