Dogs are so loyal and loving when they have the right owner, that's why we love them so much. You loved her and she loved you, and you gave her a happy life - that's what you need to remember.
Goodnight Pirate, I hope you manage to get a good sleep tonight.
Hugs for the night owls.
Good morning everyone.
Three posts in a row, I look like I'm spamming the thread!
Weather is awful - gales and pouring rain overnight, and it's still windy and rainy this morning.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Good morning everyone
Plenty of blue sky here at present and less breezy than yesterday. I hope those up north aren't flooded out.
Yogi, I'm glad you had a very good day
and kind words for pirate
Good morning everyone, it certainly feels too cold this morning to be July Yogi, I hope your weather cheers up, mine too.
That sounded like a lovely happy day yesterday Yogi and PB cuddles all round, what a joy she is.
Sounds like a busy day for you as well Summer - I hope all is going well.
Enjoy your day everyone
Interesting clip this morning on the BBC website. It mightn't look much to start with but wait until you see it from above:

Amazing!
Re the rubbish article in the Sun today which has been in the news, there is an alternative as to what is being alleged and that is the Bellamy salute which used to be used in the States at that time:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bellamy_salute
I just paid no mind to it EL, I don't like muck stirring and that's all it is in my opinion.
Good morning everyone
Some rain overnight here, rather cloudy here with little bits of blue sky.
Summer, I rewatched a Humphrey Bogart film called In a Lonely Place. Although in the film noir genre, it's more of a romance and a character study than a murder mystery.
Good morning everyone
Weather is dry atm but more rain is forecast.
I fell asleep really early last night and slept for almost 12 hours!
Have a good Sunday everyone, catch up later.
Yogi, you must have needed that sleep - it's been a very long time since I slept that long. I hope you have a good Sunday
Good morning everyone, disappointingly we had fairly heavy rain to start this morning but it's clearing up nicely now so I hope the fair weather holds.
Wow that was a lovely long sleep Yogi, as EL says you must have needed it.
Enjoy your day everyone
Squiggle, I hope the improvement in your weather continues It's brightened up here with blue sky and fluffy white clouds,
(not that clouds can really be fluffy but it's a better description than cumulus)
Not a cloud in the sky now (fluffy or otherwise) EL hope it is for you too.
A mix of sunshine and showers up here.
We visited the garden centre to get some seed for the wild birds.
Didn't buy any plants, but we did have lunch in the little restaurant.
I hope you are all having a relaxing Sunday.
I hope you've all had a good day. Off to watch a dvd, goodnight and sweet dreams. Night owl hugs.
Good mornng everyone
Very cloudy here.
Yogi, I hope your lunch at the restaurant was good and that you enjoyed your DVD.
Good morning everyone.
Weather is damp and dismal.
I enjoyed both, thanks El.
Off to the nurse this morning, and then banking and a bit of shopping.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning everyone, very fine drizzle here, well mizzle more like but I like to see it blowing down the valley and as I have no plans to go out I don't mind.
I hope all goes well with the nurse Yogi.
Enjoy your day everyone
The infamous deep fried Mars bar hits the headlines again:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-s...ey-shetland-33588382
No, I've never tried one and they don't look very appetising.
Tee hee - I didn't send it EL, honestly It's quite nice here now
Interesting Fake or Fortune on BBC1 yesterday evening about a very old painting in a church in a village in Lancashire.
The one thing I was puzzled about was that there was no mention of the church's terrier. That's the term applied to the inventory that Anglican churches are required to keep, nothing to do with dogs.
I would have expected the first thing to do would be to examine the old church terriers to see what was mentioned about the paining.
The vicar and churchwardens of a church in Cheltenham got a severe telling off a year ago for omitting a painting from their terrier:

Thanks El and Squiggle, the vitamin B12 injections are known for being painful, but it was fine - just a bit of tingling.
Weather is rainy up here - dreich!
Eldest son is day off and visiting, so this is a flying visit.

I've been watching the programme, El, and find it interesting.
Yogi, I'm glad the injections weren't too bad
Apart from a little bit of blue sky for a short time it's been very cloudy all day here though next to nothing in the way of rain. I hope you have a nice time with your son.
At least in yesterday's Fake or Fortune they didn't have to attempt to get the painting accepted by the Wildenstein Institute as in the previous week. They've come up against the Wildenstein Institute before and I knew what would happen as soon as it was mentioned. The only way that Fake or Fortune would be able to get a painting by one of the French impressionists accepted by the Institute is if they got the artist him/herself to personally go to the Institute, which could be a bit difficult.
I think the equipment the weather forecaster who lives less than a mile away from me is not always wholly reliable. The site has a list of all time records (which would been since the site started). Some of the records are a bit questionable.
For instance it has a highest temperature of 39.1C. The record for the UK is 38.5C.
The most questionable record though is for the highest average wind speed which is shown at 156.5 mph
The UK record at low level is 142 mph which was in Aberdeenshire. I think I would have known about it.

I can't say what I think of them!
Doctor's receptionist phoned late afternoon. I've got to have another 5 B12 injections in the next two weeks!
Evening Summer, have you had a good day?
Not to worry, after the first six jabs, I only have one jab every three months to maintain things. Emergency cake sounds perfect.
Off to watch some telly before I conk out, goodnight and sweet dreams, Summer.
Good morning everyone
Some sunshine here but mostly cloudy.
Yogi, we'll be calling you Saint Yogi soon as you'll be so holey
Summer, I'm glad you had a lovely relaxing evening
I'll be going out in a bit for a routine dental check up.
Some time between noon and 5 I'm getting a visit from an engineer to change my electricity and gas meters. I will have no electicity or gas for up to 3 hours so won't be around here during then.
