Yogi, there is a warning at the start of South Riding about a scene which does seem a bit gratuitous at the time (it's rated 12 as a result by the BBFC) but the reason for that scene becomes clear later on.
Okay El, thanks for the heads-up.

Good morning everyone. Hope you have all had a good weekend. It's another dull, grey day here today.
Don't work too hard Skylark. There's always another day for cleaning.

Did anyone happen to catch Songs of Praise yesterday? It finished with a solo by Rebecca Bottone singing Ava Maria. Wow. I have never heard a better soprano voice in my life, it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and very few singers can do that.
Good afternoon, Joyron and Squiggle.
I'm afraid I didn't see Songs Of Praise, Squiggle and I don't think it's on Catch-up.
El Loro, I watched South Riding, (whilst I was ironing) and I thought it was pretty good.

I didn't watch Songs of Praise, but I have found it on iPlayer - it will only be there for 6 days - Rebecca Bottone's solo starts at just before 27:00 minutes.
Link to this Thank you squiggle for bringing this to our attention . As you say, it does make the hairs on the back of the neck stand on end.

Thanks for the link, El Loro.
You were right Squiggle, she has a beautiful voice and it seemed so effortless.
Enjoy your day out with hubby tomorrow, Joyron, and I hope the weather is a bit better than today.

Good morning everyone, dry for the moment here, hope it lasts as I am in and out all day
Good morning everyone . Dry and grey, and slightly foggy but insigificant.
I wonder if Silk starting tonight will be good. Amongst the regular cast are Maxine Peake, Rupert Penry-Jones, Neil Stuke and Natalie Dormer (Anne Boleyn in The Tudors). It's written by Peter Moffat who previously wrote Criminal Justice.

Skylark, I hope you get on okay at the dentist.
I am due my six monthly check-up but I've been putting it off.
I will make an appointment today.
Good afternoon (just)
Skylark, I hope your visit to the dentist went satisfactorily
Yogi, I generally make a 6 monthly check up at the time of the current check up, so it's less likely that I would put it off.

Hi , the dentist went well, thanks x Apart from me nearly hyperventilating on the chair! Not my favourite place! Anyway both roots have survived the abscess, so its a go ahead for 2 new crowns. More money

I know its more expense but I am glad you got it sorted , I sympathise with you hyperventilating but its worth it not to be in more pain isn't it?
