Good morning everyone, cloudy and breezy here too EL but spitting rain.  Nice almost everywhere else in Devon, it's just here on the North Coast the forecast is for rain - get the feeling of being picked on

I hope everyone slept well, it was very humid here so an uncomfortable night's sleep, hope it was better where you all are.

Squiggle, if it's any consolation to you, the forecasters have been wrong here, and there has been some rain here an hour ago so you are not alone

(and Scotland has been getting a soaking with the golf tournament there being suspended for a time due to torrrential rain).

I think it's supposed to be less humid now so that you should get a much better night's sleep.

As a change from posting images of Pluto, here's an image of the Sun taken a few days ago. It's unusual as it's been taken by a spacecraft from the other side of the Sun which we can't see. The image is colorized blue so that the different wavelengths of light can be distinguished.

I remembered your vertigo being set off by whirling images and flashing lights which is why I put that warning. I was surprised that the BBC hadn't put a warning at the start of the clip in the way that they generally do on television. And it's known that fluorescent lights can be bad for people who suffer from photosensitivity.

That sounds awful, very wise to be cautious.  A friend of mine is suffering from some sort of vertigo and is waiting to see a specialist to find out what the root cause is, as you can understand she is very nervous about it all and is more or less staying in until she finds out where she stands.

Hi squiggle, i do sympathise. The tests are quite unpleasant, in fact i had one last week and couldnt do it. I have another appointment on the 28th, i think. I hope i can do it then. My sister is going with me this time. If i can do it, your friend will! It certainly is a difficult ailment to deal with. The cause of mine is yet unknown. I hope your friend has an appointment soon x

Evening all.

It's been a busy day!

Wedding go-ers had a lovely time and went home around lunchtime. 

Nurse came in the afternoon and I administered both injections. Nurse (who was lovely) doesn't need to come back again.

Eldest son and DiL came to pick up PB and stayed for tea.

Grandad got lots of cuddles today, which pleased him no end. 

Granny always gets lots of cuddles.

It's blowing a gale and pouring with rain. Are we sure it isn't November instead of July?
