Summer, I hope you are settling in well.

No problem Moonie, I had decided to have an early night anyway.

El, that plant even looks like it would stink!

Skylark, I hope you are enjoying your time to yourself.

Squiggle, did you watch the programme, "Home Fires"? As you know, I love stuff about the Homefront during WW2, and I really liked it.

Been to the hospital this morning to see the two specialist nurses about the change in my treatment. They spent 45 minutes explaining everything in detail and answering all of my concerns. They also reminded me that, although they and my consultant were recommending the treatment, I could refuse it.

Really lovely guys, very clued up and no pressure from them - my type of medical professionals.

I am going ahead with the treatment, but having a type which can be injected rather than infused - eventually self-injected It means I won't need those lengthy visits to hospital, which is a relief. I will be very well monitored and the treatment will be reviewed after a year. There is even a possibility that, for the first time in 15 years, my Crohns could go into remission!

Middle son is popping in for a visit, but I'll be back later.

aww yogi that is fantastic news

Good morning everyone

Nice weather here today with plenty of blue sky.

Yesterday's meeting with clients went well. I have another one this morning and yet another one this evening.

On the way to the client yesterday there was a cyclist in front of me who was cycling in the middle of the lane making it impossible to overtake without going into the other side of the road. There were no vehicles in front of him, and no parked cars. Cycling moderately fast, but not at racing speed. We came to a section where there are speed cushions, one on both sides. Cyclist veered to the centre of the road rather than to the left of the cushion. He went off down another road at the crossroads so I lost sight of him.

Good morning oooooh I've really missed you guys how are we all?

Yofi that's fantastic news from the hospital and I'm over the moon that you won't need lengthy infusions, I hope you soon learn how to self inject medical progression is super

Aw velvet thank you. I'm alright, just going through a break up with my long term partner. I've just moved into a new place and have been very busy organising everything that comes with it, as well as going to work as normal. I have a fantastic support system though and my friends have been amazing

Good morning everyone, been busy hosing down the decking.  All the bits and pieces left after the scaffolding came down made it look really messy and it was driving me up the wall.

Annoying about your TV aerial Skylark, have there been high winds there to knock it off course so to speak?  Enjoy your weekend if you don't get back on here, hope the TV is fixed by then.

Velvet we all miss Summer

Yogi I read that as moonie meaning you keep freezing too gave me a mental picture of a robotic Yogi!

Lots of roads are very narrow down here EL and on the road which climbs up to the coastguard station it is all twisty and turny, no possibility of overtaking and on my way to church a while ago two cyclists were riding two abreast which on a narrow road like that is, as moonie would say, very norty.  As you say it can lead to a dangerous situation not only for the cyclists but for motorists too if someone gets impatient at being stuck behind a slow cyclist especially as this is quite a steep hill and they would not be going fast.  Luckily there was no other traffic and I had enough visibility to safely get past.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Back from the clients meeting this morning, Meeting went well, but very slow journey on the way back due to workers clearing verges on the A40 stretch of road between the Over and Ross roundabouts and the effect on roads coming on to that stretch. A group of young women with a pram crossed the road near the Apple Tree Inn and walked towards the stretch of the A40 where the work was being carried out. They were walking faster than drivers were. I eventually caught up with them when they got to a bus stop and were waiting for a bus.

Squiggle, I can well imagine the roads in your area being very narrow and steep. There are roads like that in the Cotswolds and there's one near Painswick which I've never been down which is so steep that it looks like a 1 in 2 gradient.

Skylark, I hope your aerial gets sorted out today so you can watch television

Summer, I'm glad you are getting the support you need at a time like this

Nice to see you Summer yes all finished, scaffolding down, grass cut, getting back to normal.  The house looks amazing, my grandson has painted the lounge and is now painting the conservatory.  Lot of work there as because the roof always leaked it was damp and insects were always getting in.  Now with a new tailor made roof and a new door it feels so different and hopefully when he's finished it it will be lovely.

We have plans for the family to come over tomorrow.  The baby has just begun to giggle, so I am looking forward to it, I love a baby's laugh.

I am glad things are coming together and that you have so much support.  An exciting time, is Bramble adjusting to the new home well?

squiggle

I'm off in a few minutes to this evening's client meeting. It will either be a straighforward meeting or a highly technically complex meeting if my client raises the issue of private residence relief for capital gains tax on their house abroad which they own - they rent their house here so no if they can't get the relief on their foreign property, they would have to pay tax on that property if they sell it. I've got some technical material on this off the HMRC site - it runs for over 100 pages - it's that complex.

Definitely!

Mr Yogi has been putting together a little Ikea armchair for her, and a little pink table and chair for her to do drawings and puzzles on. He's very proud of himself, but says we better see if they collapse when PB sits on them, before he starts boasting.
