My boyfriend (John snow in GOT) is in spooks- was he good in it?! Could I watch it without never having seen the tv show?

 Hi Summer.

I had to Google, as I wasn't sure what Jon Snow in Game of Thrones looked like!

Yes, he was one of the main characters and he was very good. Hubby hadn't seen any of the tv shows and he still enjoyed it.

Good morning everyone.

Weather is overcast, atm.

Grocery shopping this morning and a visit from middle son in the afternoon.

Have a good day everyone.

When I went to the Science Museum there were lots of exhibits to see and some of them were things which people could get involved with. I was quite interested to see an exhibit of various chemical elements. I think it probably was the one with 59 elements which was bequeathed from the Bonaparte family,

There was the time when I was still at school when there was an emergency evacuation of the main building. Some of the 6th formers were taking part in a physics or chemistry experiment which went a bit wrong leading to the release of some radioactive material. We were able to go back into school fairly quickly though and I know that the room where it happened was right at the top of the building so could quite easily be shut off from the rest of the school.

I can't be certain that it was radioactive material though, but that's what we were told at the time. That was back in the 60s and I think it improbable that a school would be permitted to have radioactive material on the property nowadays.

Good morning everyone

Another cloudy breezy day here, little in the way of rain.

Yogi, I'm glad you had a good day with your family

Off to see a client in a bit.

Yesterday I started on another one of M&S's regional cakes - parkin cake. It's many years since I've had any. My mother's parents (from Cheshire, originally Derbyshire) sent her some for us to have on bonfire night. For those of you who don't know what parkin cake is, it's gingerbread cake made with treacle and oatmeal,

Good morning everyone.

It was sunny when I woke but now it's quite overcast. Squiggle, I hope you haven't sent your rain up here!

El, I've never eaten parkin but I love gingerbread so I think I might like it. My (paternal) nana made the best gingerbread in the world! Unfortunately, nobody has the recipe!

Hope all is well with you, Skylark.

Summer, are you enjoying driving your new car?

Have a good day everyone.

Talk about cake is always good, especially on a Monday morning.  Hi Summer and Skylark hope you are well.

I think you must have, because the rain has arrived!

Yogi, now that M&S had parkin cake you may be able to get some to try.

Though if they were out of stock you might see a "No Parkin" sign

I hope the meeting with the client went well.
