But you did do em both Squiggle, well done

As for the business, you are probably right

Trailer for a rather interesting film to be released in cinemas on June 19th. Although the BBC is one of the producers, it's not related to Sherlock. It's based on a book by Mitch Cullin called A Slight Trick of the Mind. Dr Watson, Mrs Hudson and Mycroft Holmes are in the list of characters. There's also a charcter described as "Matinee Sherlock". I'm guessing that's the character who is shown in clips of films being shown in the film. Although the Sherlock Holmes is obviously Ian McLellen, the "Matinee Sherlock" is played by Nicholas Rowe. 30 years ago he played Young Sherlock in the film of that name.

That's why I haven't been here on the forum for some hours.

These are difficult times, I do hope the news for them will be better than you fear EL.

Thanks moonie I have had to turn the wing mirrors in lately only there was this bird, a bluetit I think, who won't stop gazing at his reflection in them, and pooing on the car at the same time.  I don't know whether he thinks it might be a mate or a rival but he was driving me loopy

Evening night owlers

I hope you've had a good day, it's been like a heat wave here! I decided to wash my bedroom curtains, got them dry on the line and hung back up in time for bed I did go to the garden centre but didn't find any primroses that I was hoping to find. I did come out with a toy for bramble though

Squiggle I hope you're not aching too much, and that your blood test results will come back good you certainly keep busy don't you.

El, I can't believe another year has gone by and you're on with that client again! I remember you working hard on it for weeks last year. I hope all is going smoothly so far

Velvet, don't do one, we like you being here

I love your guesses about the jam jars, but I am surprised that none of you guessed that I might be getting into a craft project
My SIL is hosting a party and needs my creative assistance with decorations. The jars will be for candles and we decided to decorate them with hessian and gingham ribbons. I've measured up and cut the hessian, I'll do the glueing on Sunday. I also made some bunting, it's been a while since I did any projects and have to say I enjoyed losing myself in it

Yogi, did you have a nice day?

Moonie & skylark, I hope you're both well

That doesn't sound too good, El.

Now that I have spammed the thread, I'm going to get off to bed.

Goodnight and sweet dreams Summer.

Hugs for the night owls.

Good morning everyone

Another sunny and fairly warm day here. Forecast says it's cloudy at present, but it's blue sky.

Summer, we should have realised your jam jar party was craft related

My brother rang me yesterday evening having returned from his holiday in Copenhagen. Sounds as if he had a good time and the weather was quite good. He's bound to bring his holiday snaps when he visits me in a few weeks.

Summer, the client accounts I'm working on do take time but aren't the ones I do which takes weeks and weeks - that one tends to be around August/September.

Yogi, that would be the perfect excuse to not to the laundry, if only it didn't leave a back log after lol

No problem, Summer.

If only there was a laundy fairy to do it for me!

Good morning everyone.

Weather is dry and sunny again.

I think today is the last sunny day for a while, so I'm going to cut the front lawn and Mr Yogi will do the back lawn when he gets in from work.

El, you'll have to let us know what your brother thought of his visit to Copenhagen, and whether there are lots of nice places to visit.

Have a good day everyone.

Yogi, my brother said that there were plenty of things to see in Copenhagen itself and didn't go elsewhere during the holiday. He and his friend went to look at churches, the cathedral, the one art museum, the botanical gardens etc. They went to Tivoli Gardens. They didn't go in as you have to pay - it's an amusement park and pleasure garden which would have little appeal to them, but they went around outside to have a look and took photos. It's the second oldest amusment park in the world and was an influence to Walt Disney for Disneyland. So wotth considering for families though I think PB will need to be older than she is at present.

Copenhagen sounds like my kind of place.

Like your brother, I'm not overly keen on amusement parks, although we did take our boys when they were younger and no doubt will take PB when she's older.

Good morning everyone, one last lovely morning before the rain is forecast.

I hope all goes well with the wasp man moonie, here's what to look out for when you open the door

Morning Skylark, glad you have another lovely day like me.  Nice to see you velvet

Aww moonie I hope the problems fade away like the morning mist and you will be back making us laugh again soon, take care

Enjoy your day everyone

And a Happy Birthday to William Shakespeare.

(his actual date of birth is traditionally regarded as 23 April 1564 but hasn't been proved. He was baptised on 26 April and children were baptised very quickly in those days. He died 23 April 1616 so the 23 April for his birth date was a popular choice by biographers).
