There's a Portuguese film tonight on Film 4 called Eccentricities of a Blonde-haired Girl (1.15 very early tomorrow morning). It's a short film - 75 minutes with adverts). A man on a train journey talks with a woman he's just met about his life and a love affair.

Slow moving and I think predominantly talk with little if any action. Made in 2009 and has a U certificate.

Why mention it? It was directed by Manoel de Oliviera who recently died.

He was 101 when he directed the film and that's not a typo.

You may remember that back in December I posted about a very elderly client, her offshore bank account, and HMRC wanting information about her account going back years.

HMRC have at long last replied to my letter. They've accepted what I've said and have closed their enquiries as they realise that her income is not enough for her to be liable to any tax.

What's the catch El?

Surely there has to be one if HMRC 'have accepted'

Not really a catch but HMRC say that if they received information that the client should be a taxpayer that they would re-open their enquiries. That's fair enough but is a remote possibility.

Moonie, is your weather warmer than yesterday?

It's cooler and less sunny than yesterday but it's still dry and quite bright, up here.

El, I'm sure your client is relieved you've managed to get it sorted out.

I like crispy seaweed from Chinese restaurants but not sure about seaweed biscuits!

It's quite possible that the Chinese restaurants are using cabbage rather than actual seaweed

Turned out nice now. No a bad weekend, up at Murrays for a lunch this time on Saturday. Pretty decent although I know Yogi's servings yesterday were at least twice the size     Service is truly excellent and you can take your tea/coffee on the terrace in the sunshine. Recommended to fellow countrywomen.

Hope we all had a good one too and are having a good day

Afternoon Velvet.

Where is Murrays, it sounds really good?

Hi Velvet

How goes your day?

No bad

Out and about and now kinda laughing at the news and the wildest election ever. Still dunno who I'm voting for

That's good

Some of the stuff that's coming out during this election is quite weird. Most of it is garbage. Not one politician has yet answered a straight question with a straight answer. I guess that's what being a politician is all about though

Is Sweet okay? Have see her about for a few days

Yes, Summer is okay, Moonie. She still has no network coverage at work and has been busy in the evenings.

Glad she's okay

Is she with EE?

I'm not sure. El might remember which company it is.

What are you watching tonight?

I'm watching the new series on ITV, called Safe House. I'm recording it too as I'm not giving it my full attention.
