Good morning everyone.

Still raining but the wind has eased. I think it's to brighten up in the afternoon.

Did anyone see the story on BBC Breakfast, about the liberation of Bergen Belsen concentration camp? It's the 70th anniversary today, and they were speaking to a lady called Gina Turgel who survived the camp.

She met and married one of the British soldiers, Norman Turgel, who was involved in the liberation of the camp and they were married for 50 years, until Norman's death. It was very moving to hear how their love blossomed and flourished for half a century, despite the circumstances of their first meeting.

It made me cry.

Have a good day everyone.

 Everyone.
Havent been around as my Granddaughter away on holiday with her nana and granpa so been having a bit of time to myself.
Hope you are all well, and enjoying the nice weather. Its still a bit chilly here, but nice and sunny.
Doing a bit of spring cleaning and getting rid of junk that i seem to accumulate!
Have a good day all, whatever you are doing

Tonight's episode of Antiques Roadshow Detectives (BBC2 6.30pm) is about a Holocaust survivor from the Bergen-Belsen camp. It is about Zdenka Fantlova. Fiona Bruce arranges for her to meet George Leonard, one of the British soldiers who liberated the camp.

Zdenka Fantlova is a remarkable person. I don't know how much of her life during WW2 will be mentioned but more details can be read in this article:

Evening all. I've had a busy day!

Skylark, I've caught your clearing out bug and had to make a trip to the tip!

El, thank you for those links.

Squiggle, I hope you got lots of snuggles with the baby.

Summer, have a nice time with your friend. I hope you're having a dessert!

Moonie, I hope you got a chance to enjoy that sunshine.

Hi El

Yep. I could do as you suggested but I have been with Virgin mobile for nearly 20 months now and this is the first time the text hasn't been during the day.

Everything seems to have changed since my mobile's last update. The whole layout and colour scheme has changed and I have noticed an "EE" logo in the corner of my phone now when I switch it  on. Nothing has never been there before. In fact, the whole colour scheme is based on the "EE" colours.

When I had that text, it said, from Virgin Mobile. Whereas before it gave Virgins mobile contact number. All very strange

Moonie

Moonie, although I have Virgin for my broadband and land phone I don't have a mobile phone as you know. I do know that Virgin Media uses the EE network for their mobile phone users. I think it may be something to do with the recent update to IOS 8.3 and the wi-fi availability I've mentioned recently and again today.

You could have a look at Virgin's forum on the mobile phone section to see if you can find anything about this:

El, thanks for the link

I have been and had a look around. There seems to have been lots of problems since the upgrade, which, if I have read it correct seems to have been a Samsung rather than a Virgin one

I have just noticed something that was mentioned on that forum. When you tapped Apps, you used to get Apps and Widgets. Now the there is only Apps

Why on earth do they mess with things when they are working ok?

(I can crack my knuckles but don't do it habitually)

I hope my sons don't read this! When they were teenagers they used to do that knuckle cracking thing and I hated it. I was always telling them they'd get arthritis!

Moonie, I'm with Virgin Mobile for my Iphone. My allowances are updated at the beginning of each month, so when I get mine I'll let you know if my text comes through at stupid o'clock.

I've checked and my phone is still saying Virgin, not EE, but that might be because it links up to the router when I'm at home. I'll check next time I'm out and about.

Hi Yogi and El

I have mobile broadband so I seldom use my Virgin wi-fi even when at home. My mobile always come on with that "EE" logo showing since the upgrade. I know Virgin used to use EE after 6pm weekdays and at weekends but it appears it uses it all the time now...

El, as I said earlier, it seems to be a Samsung upgrade, according that Virgin forum link you gave me
