I think we have the same phone moonie, I haven't dared download the update as they said you can't go back and I'm a little nervous that it might muck things up, let me know if all is OK once it finishes downloading.

Hi Summer

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Squiggle. See my above comment to El

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini moonie, so almost the same but mine's just a smaller version, my daughter thought the smaller one would suit me better. I hope you get to like the update better I'm a coward and I think I will keep on kicking it into the long grass.

Awwww I hate these updates too. But they need to be done I think. If you can, get your daughter to do it for you or someone who is more able than your good self. I just usually pile in and damn the consequences

I am useless with anything technical. I even have buy the "the idiots guide to the Samsung Galaxy S4" when I first had it. Didn't do me much good though. To much of an idiot I guess

I just messed with it until I found my was around

Is it quite cheap to buy out your contract when you get near the end? And how near the end do you recommend?

Mine would cost me a months payment for every month still left on the contract, around ÂĢ280. It will have to wait for a few months yet

Your contract "get out clause" may be different though

I am with Virgin Squiggle, I have noticed since the update that an "EE" logo has appeared on the top left of the opening screen, after I first switch  it on. That never happens before. So I assume that has something to do with the update

Though Virgin did tend to switch too "EE" in the evenings and on a weekend before

Very strange

El, you must be the only person I know who doesn't have a mobile phone

Ofcom's statistics have 93% of the UK population as having a mobile phone as of a year ago. So I'm one of the 7% who don't. But as I work from home and don't want clients contacting me when I'm eiither driving ot at another client, the need for a mobile is less than for many people.

Ofcom's statistics also show 95% as having a digital TV so 5% don't. I know people who don't have television.

No, Velvet has not deregged and was on the forum a couple of days ago. If you have seen any postings with Velvet's avatar blanked out and without the gingerbread man icone those are old postings made by Velvet. Velvet did deregister over a year ago and reregistered a short time later.

Fair enough El

That makes me one of the 93% and the 95% then

It's Good Friday, so why are there no Easter films on today?

Will be back later.

Hi Yogi, have a nice time with son. Havent got TV on so cant tell you. Maybe Good Friday a day for mourning as such , maybe films will be on Sunday, or Monday. xx

Talking about films, about time we had some good black and white ones. A good old Bette Davis one would do me fine! They dont make them like that any more! Or the one with Olivia, when she bolted the door , cant remember the name of it. Brilliant film anyway!

Off to do my hair, big day tomorrow . May be back later xxx

Yogi, the closest to a religious film today was Godspell on MovieMix but that'a almost ended. BBC had a couple of religious programmes this morning but the other Freeview channels didn't.

In terms of non-religious films BBC2 showed Easter Parade this morning (Fred Astaire and Judy Garland).

King of Kings is being shown on Easter Day on BBC2 but that's been shown many times.

I'm Vodafone moonie, the only reason I have a mobile phone really is for the Vodafone Family which lets all my family call me and each other free of charge.  I just pay ÂĢ7 per month and I think that's a good deal.  It's handy too to be able to access the internet when I'm out and of course in case of emergency car cover when I'm out and about.  Is EE a network, I don't think I have come across it before until it was mentioned in this thread.

Lovely chocolate house Summer, did you make that yourself?  It's very good.  Hi Skylark, I hope your weekend is off to a good start.
