Squiggle, I think the wind was telling the home of English cricket that it's appalled by the decline of the England team and this is a warning sign that it they don't improve it will flatten more of the ground.

 

A letter arrived this morning to tell me I had one £825,000 or 825,000 Euros, can't remember which supposedly from The Postcode Lottery.  It is of course a scam but it's worth mentioning in case someone else receives one.

On my local news website today:

Motorists are urged to proceed with caution this morning as the county is battered by strong winds.

A severe weather warning has been issued across Gloucestershire with gusts of 50 to 60 mph in places.

The Met Office has warned the public to be aware of the risk of localised damage from these winds and for minor disruption to travel.

The M48 Severn Bridge has already been closed as a result of the high winds and more delays are likely and some areas in the Forest have claimed to have experienced the windiest night on record.

I've heard of those scams but I've yet to receive such a letter.

People have been taken in by them and in some cases have lost all their savings and took out loans.

Thankfully Squiggle knew that it was a scam and didn't take the bait, but there are people out there - perhaps very elderly or vulnerable - who will get ripped off!

Re lottery scam letters. Jessica's story on this link is the one I had heard of and a charity in her name was set up to make people aware of the scams and the effects it can have on victims.

This is gonna sounds really mad, I know but I have just watched an episode of Dynamo, Magician Impossible. The one where he was in Brazil. His final trick was to levitate in front of THAT famous statue. I have seen it before but I have to say I was very moved at watching it this time.

Awwwwww, she'll love Easter hat making unless there are eggs involved, then they probably won't make the bonnet 

 No eggs going on the bonnet. We have got small chocolate eggs so she can do an Easter Egg Hunt.

We'll need to make sure she puts them in the basket and doesn't eat them all.

Party bags, Easter egg hunts and bonnet making- I've missed all the fun in here today!

I managed to get slight phone coverage today but no 3G at all, and it snowed here. The wind is wild, I wondered if the weather was the cause of the network problem.

I spent this evening making the structure of a chocolate house for SIL's birthday, tomorrow I'll decorate the panels and construct it
