At present it's cold and frosty but dry here. Forecast is to become wet and windier by mid-day.

I'm psyching myself up to clean out the fish tank. I'm amazed my middle son didn't mention it yesterday.

On a similar program as that and Great British Bake Off is a new one starting today (BBC1 6pm) The Big Painting Challenge.

I did think I might watch that at first EL but then I saw a clip and I don't think the style of painting they are doing would appeal to me.  I'm not a fan of modern art.

Squiggle, I haven't seen any clips of the painting programme on television. There are a couple of clips on the BBC website:

The one with fashion designer Heather may be the one you saw as that does look like modern art. But the one with retired police artist Jan did seem closer to being what you would prefer. There are 10 contestants, they are all amateurs and I think they will differ both in approach and ability.

I might give it a go then EL, thanks, I like art to be beautiful, I know it's all in the eye of the beholder but then I am probably very old fashioned.

Squiggle, I must be very old fahioned as well as I prefer art which looks attractive and real rather than abstract art.

 

Add my name to the old fashioned group, I like my paintings to look beautiful.

I thought Spring was coming too 

I've got a few snowdrops and crocus plants trying to bloom, and the tulips and daffodils are pushing through, so maybe it's on its way?

I have some crocus coming through but every time it gets a little cold they die off again. So just stalks now again 

Oh no! Mine were still there today, so I hope they survive.

They seem to be very sturdy 

 

It's getting windy outside now.

It's been windy, wet and cold here all day Yogi 

 

I want to hibernate until the better weather arrives!

When Keira and I went out for a walk, we didn't see a soul. I think everyone must be hibernating atm.
