I'm supposed to be in the bath now but I'm addicted to the jump

Does bb finish tonight?

Nice to return the favour.

I had an early bath and i'm sitting up in bed waiting on CBB starting. Yes, it's the final tonight - thank goodness, I'll be glad when it's over!

Has The Jump been good? Who are you rooting for to win?

I've really enjoyed the jump, unexpectedly too! I wanted Steve-o to win but he's been eliminated tonight so I'm rotting for Mike Tindall now- this show has completely turned around my opinion of him

Aww.

The person I wanted to win is out, so I'm relieved that I can stop watching now.

Good morning a foggy start here with a golden sunrise breaking through, it could be a beautiful day

Thank you El, that's really helpful we've reset the hub a few times and it's not helping beyond a few hours. I wondered if the snow/cold weather may affect the service, or the roadworks near the main connection. I'll keep you posted on progress

Good morning everyone, a really lovely morning but very cold.  I hope they can get to the bottom of the broadband problems quickly Summer it's so frustrating when you can't rely on it especially as you have such a fast service.

That's a lovely thing to say Summer my hubby and I worked as a team, before he got ill I had to undergo chemotherapy and he got me through it.  He used to whisk me home, sit me down, make me a cup of tea and give me a dry biscuit to cope with the nausea. They give you an anti-sickness drug in with the cocktail of drugs they pump into you but your tummy still feels a little wobbly.  He would then cook tea and just look after me, he was my hero

Enjoy your day everyone, no matter what you're up to

This seems to be the 1964/65 series where Douglas Wilmer plays Sherlock Holmes and Nigel Stock plays Dr Watson. There was a later series in 1968 where Peter Cushing replaced Douglas Wilmer (but Nigel Stock was still Dr Watson).

Not all episodes have survived but there are those who consider that this series is the closest to the stories.

My brother-in-law is a big Sherlock Holmes fan will pass on

More info of those M&S eggs:

To ensure a full box of six, M&S suppliers use a method called “candling” to individually inspect each egg by hand in front of a bright light to show the shadow of the yolks inside.

British Free Range Double Yolkers are available for ÂĢ2.75 for a box of six.

So more expensive than ordinary eggs in shops.

Squiggle, I haven't had those Burford Brown eggs.

Hubby is interested in the double yolkers, El. I see a visit to M&S coming soon.

Squiggle, are the Burford Brown eggs local to your area?

No Yogi, as EL says they are available widely, they are unlike any other eggs I have ever bought.  I first bought them about 2 or 3 years ago and wouldn't buy any other eggs now.  I get them in Sainsburys, we don't have Waitrose down here, whether they are available from other sources I don't know.

Evening afte a very busy day at work, I'm now relaxing with a glass of red wine. I've had a bath and have my onesie on
I hope you've each had a good day

Squiggle, I've no doubt your hubby is now on guardian angel duties, you two looking after each other is a wonderful example of "in sickness and in health" I hope your happy memories are making you smile daily

Thank you both. We don't have Waitrose near me but we do have Sainsburys, so I'll have a look next time I'm there.

Yay, a chillax night for Summer.

My day has been fine. Middle son and DiL came for tea and we watched The Voice.

Those eggs were 5 days out of date

Good morning Summer.

Is the date a "best before" or a "use by" date?

If it is a "best before", Mr Yogi would probably crack the eggs into a bowl and smell to see if they were okay. I would bin them!

Good morning everyone, heavy frost and low lying mist this morning, melting away now.

I'm with Mr Yogi, I am sure the eggs would have been fine.  I grew up in the days before eggs were marked - even with a little lion, "go to work on an egg" - and that's going back a bit.  When you got a bad egg you sure knew about it and I have even plucked and gutted a chicken the smell, peg on nose time.  Obviously I had a deprived childhood and didn't even know it

Enjoy your day everyone

lol Squiggle, your post has taken me back to my childhood.

Dad was close friends with a local farmer and used to help out at weekends.

In fact, we used to move out to the farm for a week every May when dad took over the farm to let the farmer go on holiday.

We often got a chicken which needed plucking and gutting, for our Sunday dinner. My late brother and I loved standing on chairs at the deep sink (we had two sinks in our kitchen, for some reason) and we plucked and gutted the chicken.

I wouldn't be so keen to do it now!
