Summer, I'm glad you managed to get some rest last night. Hopefully your cough is on the wane.

I forgot I suffer from vertigo

Glad you are not damaged to badly Yogi

Mr Yogi isn't too keen on going up ladders either. My bet is that one of our sons will fix the slates, while hubby holds the ladders.

Seems sensible to me

 Hubby will think so too.

I get vertigo stepping off a high kerb Yogi

 Aww

When I go down a steep escalator I hang on for dear life

That must be horrible for you. I don't have a problem with heights, just enclosed spaces.

I won't go up in a small lift on my own

Nor me, and if any lift were to shudder or the doors didn't open straight away, I'd make a real show of myself.

Although I have not been on the one shown in the clip, many many years ago I did go on one which was in a department store somewhere (too long ago to remember where). I didn't know then that the cubicle didn't turn over at the top.

You wouldn't get me in one of those, I'd need to take the stairs!

Ditto

We are scardy cats Yogi

Me too, I should think you would need one.  I hope the weather is quieter tonight.

It's not often you get to see a pretty comet http://travel.aol.co.uk/2015/0...n-sky/?ncid=webmail2

Thank you both. I had a quick half hour before hubby got home from work.

The comet looks lovely.

Hi all, hope you all well.
Sorry you have had some wind damage Yogi, its been very bad here too, no damage tho, as far as i know.
I sympathise, moonie, suffer vertigo too, and not keen either with lifts or small enclosed spacies.
Internet been driving me nuts today, and on here when i click on anything it jumps to the home page, very annoying.
Cleaning house for visitors coming for sons birthday, just going to set about the bathroom soon and that should be it. Thank goodness.
Have a good evening all , if i dont get back on here !!

Ah, thanks El, a very guilty looking Granddaughter , who denies all knowledge of touching the keyboard is now hiding in my sons room, with a bright red face

*night owls*

Wow you guys have been busy today! I hope you're all warm & dry and the wind doesn't damage anything else.
It's picking up speed again here now, it's very mild tonight though.

I'll fix your roofs, I'm alright with heights I just need to learn about roofing first

Skylark I hope son has a lovely birthday and that you enjoy your weekend with your visitors

You probably know as much about roofing as Mr Yogi does.

Yogi & skylark,  I hope you enjoy the time with your visitors happy birthday to master skylark

Well said Summer and from me too.  The weather is pretty awful, I hope it all calms down soon.  Hang onto your hats if you have to go out today

Enjoy your day everyone

squiggle

Skylark's son's birthday is the 12th

I managed to miss the rain when I did my banking and shopping this morning. Driving to Cheltenham was not nice as it was raining and very windy but the rain had stopped just before I arrived at the car park. Still windy though. mild at present but temperature going down throughout the day.

New M&S balanced diet meals in the shop so I bought some to try out over the next week.
