You will probably hear that the main hospitals in my area have declared a major incident. It's due to a flood of patients at the A&E departments. The result is a huge backlog of dealing with the non-urgent cases. They reckon that 30% of incoming patients have non-urgent ailments and those people should be using the NHS 111 phone number rather than going to A&E.

Squiggle, the local hospital announcment was as a result of the number of patients over the weekend at A&E so it doesn't seem to be related to Christmas or the New Year. I think the announcment may have been made to be able to get more emergency cover and also to try to encourage those with non-urgent ailments not to just go to A&E.

Yep, sunny side up. Just booked two weeks in Wemyss Bay with Virgin Great Escapes

Have a nice time when you get there.

Thanks Yogi

I'm flying from Glasgow to Prestwick and then thumbing it.

I therefore keep my electic toothbrush in my bedroom and take it to the bathroom when I use it.

That made me laugh, there are one or two people i could welcome here for a bath and quietly drop an electric fire in.....
Anyway, hi and thanks for your good wishes, still a bit under the weather, its been a bad one, but on the mend, still sneezing my head off tho...
Had some soup today and swallowing every Vitamin known to man. Hope you all well.
Take care and have a nice evening

I'm sure you wouldn't really but I am glad you're feeling a bit better.  There's some bad bugs around this year
