Middle son is here and DiL will be arriving after work. They are staying for dinner.

My wee car was picked up today by the insurance repair people and I am in possession of a Ford Focus courtesy car (not the Astra I was expecting but a nice car).

Yogi, it shouldn't be a big issue, just quite a lot of wotk for those in charge as far as the registration process is concerned. I've already downloaded a guide as to this to pass over to the treasurer.

Twelfth Night (the traditional time to take down decorations) isn't until either tomorrow or Tuesday though the C of E is treating today as Ephiphany.

I've now informed the church treasurer, the vicar and one of the churchwardens about my opinion that our church now needs to register with the charity commissioners. It seems to have been met with approval and I think that they will now start to look into this.

 

Don't forget that Foyle's War is back tonight with a new series of 3 episodes.

I took down the tree and all the decorations this morning and Mr Yogi helped me pack them away in the loft. House looks very bare now.

Yes I've set the series link too.  I am glad you were able to monitor the situation and keep your church up to date so they don't fall foul of that threshold EL.

 

Soon the daffs will be out and then the house will feel brighter Yogi.  I'm fed up with the dark mornings, trying to put my toothbrush back on the stand this morning was ridiculous I had to do it by touch.

Squiggle, I think the dark clouds we've been getting makes the mornings seem even darker. I know the days are starting to get a bit longer now but at this time of year it's more a case that dusk is getting a bit later rather than dawn getting earlier.

When I'm going to church I suppose I get up a bit earlier EL and since I never pull my curtains I try to manage in the morning without putting on a light except in the bathroom and as there is no electric plug in the bathroom I plug my toothbrush in in the hall with an adapter plug.  Most mornings it's not a problem but this morning was terribly dark.

 I planted lots of bulbs in the autumn, so hopefully they will all bloom in the spring. I love spring flowers.

Squiggle, I always draw my curtains as there's a street light opposite my house. I don't have an electric socket in my bathroom either (I think that's standard to stop people putting an electic fire in there and deciding to drop it in the bath). I therefore keep my electic toothbrush in my bedroom and take it to the bathroom when I use it.

The original recipe included tulip bulbs but that's been changed here as tulip bulbs are poisonous.

 

Waaaaaaah I miss my decorations!

I'd have liked to have left them up until Tuesday but I wouldn't have time after work, today was the most practical choice. It took 4 hours, even with Mr Summer's help lol
