Yogi - typical that your son's flight has been rerouted. Let's hope they are not seriously held up and inconvenienced

Sweet - well done on the ÂĢ200 saving. It can pay to take ten minutes on these comparison sites.

The blow ups arrived safely today and the quality is rather impressive so it's a local framer next.

Hope everyone's having a good afternoon

Hi Velvet, I'm really chuffed that the blow ups turned out well. I'm sure the boss and your sis will love them.

A bit of a pain for my son and DiL, but I guess nobody is in control of the weather so nobody to blame.

Good morning everyone

Wet and windy here, should then dry up for a time before the weather turns wet and windy this evening and overnight. But it's not expected to be as bad as the storm yesterday into today up north.

Yogi, I hope you were able to drift off to sleep again

Summer, not only do I travel to lots of clients but I also have their financial papers with me in the car so that has the effect on the cost of the insurance.

Good morning everyone, really heavy showers here and still so windy.

I hadn't thought of that EL, that's quite a responsibility.

Hug for Yogi still I always think the bonus of being awake so early is I will sleep like a log the next night, I hope it works that way for you.

Hurrah for Summer >>>>>>>>

Enjoy your day everyone

It's a coup for the BBC as there will be world wide interest in the series.

You know how much I love my detective and crime dramas, and I've read Cormoran Strike and really enjoyed it, so I'm pleased with this news.

Thank Squiggle, that's what I'm hoping.

Squiggle, one of the managers in the firm I used to work for left one of the firm's client files on the train by accident. I don't know what happened but it was embarassing for him.

Another manager had a computer with her in London. She was on a tube platform waiting and had put the computer on the ground. A man came along and walked off with the computer. She followed the man, caught up with him and said "you've got my computer" and, luckily for her, he handed the computer back.

Major roadworks announced for Huntley on the A40 in Gloucestershire for 16 weeks with the A40 being closed in the area.

http://www.gloucestercitizen.c...47-detail/story.html

There is a diversion route in place. I know the area well enough to know that journey times will be substantially increased.

I do have a couple of clients who live in the area and this will cause them massive incovnvenience and some loss if income. It's unlikely to cause me problems as I generally don't visit them until the summer months.

The A40 is the road between Gloucester and Ross on Wye. I suspect some people will go from Gloucester on the B4215 Newent road, carry on the road past Newent where it becomes the B4221, past Kilcot and Gorsley, until it joins the M50 at junction 3 and then down the M50 to Ross. That doesn't help the people in Huntley though.

My stupid cold has reached the streaming nose stage now and Mr Yogi says I look like Rudolph.

Poor you At least it will have gone before Christmas.

Sorry El, I missed this post earlier. Thank you, I'm sure it is coming to an end now and I'll be fine - apart from my red nose!

What's that Radio Times cover all about? Doesn't have a proper Christmas feel at all.

Yes feel a bit brighter and happier now, due mostly to some lovely friends here

 I'm glad to hear it.

Is granddaughter getting excited about Monday's Nativity?

That's good and you have the Nativity to look forward to.  I love Nativity plays, we have the church one on Sunday.  I wonder whether the mum of 4 whose children are just the right ages to be in it will be tempted to include her brand new baby boy, born just a few days ago.

Yogi I am sure the cold will clear up quickly now, it's miserably when you get to the runny nose stage.  As EL says hopefully it will be over by Christmas for both you and Mr. Yogi.

Skylark, I'm glad you are feeling better and brighter now

On page 61 of the Radio Times it says that Judith Kerr was approached to do the cover for the Christmas edition. In her words her reaction was "Panic~! I couldn't think what to do. Eventually I said 'what about a child holding a cat'"

And that's what she painted.

She's known for "The Tiger who came to tea" and the Mog books.
