Good morning everyone, cloudy but no frost here.

I am glad you are feeling a bit better Yogi and I hope the fact that Mr Yogi is still sleeping is a good sign that he is on the mend. I hope that middle son and DIL have a good holiday, remind me where they are off to again?  Is the hamster well behaved, we had one that was an escape artist!

I love your Get Well picture Summer

Enjoy your day everyone

Thanks Squiggle. Hubby is awake now and has managed to eat some toast. He looks and sounds much better than yesterday.

Middle son and DiL are off to New York. DiL loves Christmas and wanted to visit when everywhere is lit up and decorated for Christmas.

I'm hoping the hamster is well behaved and not Houdini like!

Good morning

Very cold and dark here, I hear bad weather could hit us.

Yogi in glad you both feel a bit brighter this morning, I hope you can still rest plenty to aid your recoveries
Is Mr yogi a patient patient or is it best to leave him to it..?
I hope you have balm tissues for your sore noses

Lol squiggle I knew you would like that pic

Me too!  I am just reading a lovely Christmas story and the main characters are in New York with the other two on the way.  I too want to go to Saks and Bloomingdales and see all the trees in the park twinkling with tiny white lights. We could skate on the outdoor ice rink in The Rockefeller Center - I can't skate but hey! nothing ventured etc.

EDIT: I am so glad Mr Yogi is feeling better and hope he will go from strength to strength and that your cold will go and you can really enjoy all that you have planned Yogi.

Hi Summer.

Mr Yogi is not a patient patient.

I need to tread a fine line between, not fussing so much that I annoy him, and not fussing enough so that he feels neglected. If you know what I mean?

I've got some nice, soft tissues.

The wet and windy, dark and gloomy weather has arrived up here.

They went last year, as part of a delayed honeymoon but wanted to return when "Christmas" was in full swing.

I too am rather envious and would like to visit all the places you have mentioned. I can't ice skate either!

Back from a client meeting.

New York, shopping, Central Park with twinkling lights, ice skating, Christmas - they could make a romantic film out of that

Yogi, it hasn't started raining here yet but it will be. It's quite dark and the wind is making it feel cold.

We know that the weather over the next few days won't be pleasant but as far as I can tell it's the sort of weather we can expect at this time of year.

It sounds very familiar, El.

There has been a definite drop in temperature over the last few days. As you say, it is what we can expect from this time of year. It has been very mild up till now.

I'm sure they will, Squiggle.

I have been out to post a Get Well card and someone bumped into my car.

I was parked in the street, right beside the postbox and an elderly man reversed out of his driveway and straight into my car. Initially, he appeared to drive off, but my waving like a mad woman attracted his attention and he returned. He admitted it was his fault and gave me his insurance details. It's all in the hands of my insurance company now, who will arrange for my car to be repaired - there is a big dent in the front, passenger side wing.

Yogi19

What a nightmare for you, Velvet, but at least he owned up. I hate tailgating idiots and the bully drivers who try to push in.

My insurance company don't think there will be any problems as he accepted liability - his car windows looked pretty steamed up to me.

My son opted to get the damage to his car repaired without making an insurance claim. He's a relatively new driver and didn't want to lose his no claims.

Weather here is extremely wet and windy!

Yogi19

Velvet, I don't like tailgaters, they are a menace. My car is 12 years old now so the value is such that if it was involved in a relatively minor accident, the chances are that the insurers would decide just to pay for its value and scrap the car as the repair cost would be more expensive. That could have been the position with your car.

Yogi, I hope you get your car back fairly quickly. At least there shouldn't be any hassle with the insurance companies.

I think your son has made the right decision as although he has the cost of repair now that probably will be cheaper than the future extra insurance cost if he claimed.

 all.

Oh dear Yogi, what a bother   and Velvet x
Just sorting out Granddaughter for the Nativity on Monday. She is a shepherd, but wants to be the donkey  . Gone are the days when a tea towel and stripy flannelette sheet was good enough!! She having a bit of a strop just now, she has her own style, Viviene Westwood mark 2 i think!  She wants wings, and wings she will have
Oh to be 6 again
Hope all well with everyone, and moonie ok

FM

Yogi how upsetting, thank goodness you kicked up a fuss otherwise from the sound of it he would just have driven off.  I hope the claim goes through smoothly.  That sounds a nightmare velvet, people who drive like that are a pain.

Aww Skylark I bet your granddaughter will look gorgeous, I love that she wanted to be a donkey bless.  I have been there with the making of wings etc.

Aw i am sure you were a lovely shepherd! Done my bit this end, the teachers will have to deal with taking the wings off ! No disrespect, but if one is a primary school teacher, it must go with the territory

Skylark, this post had me laughing out loud, what a brilliant character your granddaughter is. I'm sure she will make a fabulous shepherd - with or without wings!

Thanks Squiggle. I think he did have every intention of driving off until he saw me waving like a madwoman at him and realised I knew where he lived!

Yes, son chose to pay for the repairs to his car for exactly the reasons you mentioned.

Good morning everyone.

Weather is so windy, it woke me up at 6am! Let's hope it dies down soon.

Sorry I missed you last night, Ros, and I hope your cold is better now.

Middle son and DiL came for tea last night and to drop off Joseph the hamster. He is a little cutie.

I'm going to try to get my Christmas cards written today and tomorow so that I can post them before the weekend.

Have a good day everyone.

Yogi19
Good morning all I hope you all slept well and are keeping warm. The wind here was so strong that the wreath on the front door was knocking around, which disturbed bramble for a while in the night
Yesterday was one of "those" days at work and I just needed a bath & a glass of wine afterwards, so I do apologise for not coming back online to say goodnight
I've got an actual day off today so let the lazing around commence!

Yogi, how are you both feeling?
I hope you enjoy writing your cards

Skylark it's lovely to see you back, granddaughter sounds so much fun, I hope you both enjoy the play. I was the inn keeper, but I was disappointed to not be Mary perhaps I should have asked for wings too, I'd have been happier!
~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone, windy here but from the forecast nothing like as bad as it is in Scotland and the North of England.  We get it on Thursday/Friday I think, so I'm going out today and hoping to stay in then.

Joseph sounds a real cutie - I hope Mr Yogi is feeling better and your cold is better too Yogi, and Ros too.

Have a great day off Summer, there's just so much to do as Christmas approaches, my mind is in quite a tizzy.

Enjoy your day everyone

Thaks Squiggle, I'm feeling a lot better and hubby is on the mend.

Joseph is a little cutie.

Finished writing my Christmas cards. *phew*

Weather is wild up here. We have had heavy rain, gales, thunder and lightning, sleet, snow and hailstones!

Son and DiL's flight was cancelled this morning, due to the gales. They are having to get a different flight, which isn't a direct one.

I'm feeling a lot better thanks, Summer and the cards are finished.

I'm glad you are feeling a lot better.

I took delivery of a parcel for a neighbour this morning. It was addressed to Dad, followed by the address

lol I bet the posties see some interesting names and addresses.

"explosive cyclogenesis" sounds rather more interesting than "blowing a gale".

Afternoon all

Hope the weather is calming down where you are yogi, it's wild here!

I've just saved a whopping ÂĢ200 on my car insurance I thought a comparison search might save me ÂĢ50 if I was lucky, so  I can't believe the difference I'm not spending it though, it'll stay in my savings account for a new car

I've also wrapped gifts and parcelled some up for posting
Now it's time to eat and laze around

Well done, Summer, that's a great saving.

Yogi19

Well done Summer as my car is so old and therefore not worth much (although very dear to my heart) I pay even less than EL but that's an impressive saving.

I am glad the blow-ups have come out so well velvet and I am sure the local framer will do you proud. Thank goodness your sis got back safely, I hope the re-routing doesn't add to much to the journey for your middle son and DIL Yogi.
