I bought my Christmas cake a couple of weeks ago from M&S. A Snowflake bar cake. It's similar to the cake I bought last year and it should be good. Google pictures of it are too small to make out any detail so little point in posting one.

Good morning everyone, a nice dry day for housegroup for once, makes a pleasant change.
Goodness what a treat Summer, Chatsworth and a Christmas market too. I am glad it was a good day with PB yesterday Yogi, is she potty about Frozen too? I hope the errands go well.
I hope your course goes well EL - we will probably be like ships that pass in the night today What a bother Skylark, I hope you can sort out what is going on with your computer soon
Enjoy your day everyone
PB is more into Fireman Sam atm, Squiggle. She loves the fire engine and sings "Nee Naw, Nee Naw" when the siren goes off.
Aww that takes me back to my grandsons, they loved Fireman Sam - we all used to sing the song together. Even further back in time I can remember watching Chigley with my daughter 'time flies by when you're the driver of the train....' lovely memories.
What a shame EL, far more interesting if people join in a bit.
Squiggle, I don't understand why people seem reluctant to speak up at the courses I go on. Is it because they are bored, or have nothing to say, are reluctant to say something in case they are wrong (that doesn't worry me as I work on the basis that we learn by our mistakes so the more mistakes I nake the more I learn ) or they are too shy.

Firman Sam was a favourite with my boys too. It has been PC'd to a certain extent but still enjoyable for the little ones.
Goodnight and sweet dreams everyone.
Hugs for Velvet, Summer and Ros.
aww night yogi and summer - sorry I missed you in the Darnie fred summer
Good morning everyone.
Weather is dry this morning but the air feels damp.
Summer, it's almost the weekend.
I have some errands to run later this morning and I'm getting my hair cut this afternoon.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning everyone
Heavy cloud here, dry at present, rain later.
I hope everyone had a good night's sleep and has a good day
Good morning everyone, it's spitting with rain and looks to be set for a really wet day.
Ha ha! Summer, just what I was thinking It does seem a looooong week - are we nearly there yet?
I hope all your errands go well Yogi. Have you noticed as you draw nearer to Christmas there are always just one or two more little things to add to the list. I am after a gorgeous pendant on eBay for my grandson's girlfriend today.
Enjoy your day everyone Skylark I hope you get the computer fixed and can be back with us today
Squiggle, I hope you succeed with getting that pendant
It's started raining here as forecast. I've discovered a very local online weather station in the last couple of days, less than 2 miles away. So I can see that I've had 724 mm of rain so far this year and 1.4 mm today. It doesn't forecast though but that would be expecting too much.
Researchers at Stanford University are working on some gecko inspired pads which enable people to climb up glass walls. Clip can be seen on this link:

Very slow at present so some way to go before Spiderman need worry
Everyone.
Cold here today.
Dont worry squiggle, if all else fails with this old comp, moonies hammer will come in useful ..
Shame about the course El, have been to some in my time, and its rather irritating when you have a sea of blank faces.
Aw bless PB, the noisy toys are the best arent they, Yogi
Yes Summer, nearly the weekend, hope you can get some time to yourself!
Hi to everyone else
I think I might give the gecko pads a miss EL
I hope moonie's hammer is a rubber one Skylark - could be expensive
Skylark,
It's cold and wet here as well. I don't think it's likely to snow in my area for some time.
The lecturer at yesterday's course did say she was disappointed by the lack of people joining in.
Squiggle, I wonder if window cleaners will start using those gecko pads instead of ladders
I see the European Space Agency is now working with Lego in the development of robots to use on space missions.

Yes but the pleasure would be good. The Good Lord never granted me patience
Yes a shame when the lecturer puts in time and its rather wasted, El.
Hi Velvet, have a good weekend yourself xx Any plans?

Wake up'll be a good start
Indeed, always take it from there
Squiggle, it has been calculated that 4 billion lego bricks would be needed to reach from Earth to the Moon. But that is just one brick on top of another. The flaw in that calculation is that (apart from toppling over) the weight would crush the bottom brick, and it's been calculated that that would happen with only 375,000 bricks (which is just over 2 miles high).
A pyramid structure would be needed so that the weight was spread over a wider area but the size of the pyramid would have to be huge making it gigiantic.

Nor me! We must have been at the back of the queue.
Got my hair cut, it was badly needing done. *twirls*
Any mention of Lego makes Mr Yogi wince, as he has bad memories on standing on the little bits when they boys were small.
Hi Yogi, you look lovely!
Yes tell Mr Yogi, i know the pain . Saw the film with Granddaughter about Lego, its an hour and a half i will never get back in my life

I'll add that film to my list of "films not to bother taking PB to see".

We've all been there Yogi
Nice to get your hair cut, will you need it doing again before Christmas?

@ the pic.
I'm not sure, Squiggle. I got quite a bit off it so it might last until early January.
Goodnight , all
Have a good weekend x
I may have nodded off on the couch for half an hour or so.
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Skylark.
Sorry Summer, I didn't realise you were here.
No plans to see Paddington, PB is a wee bit too young for the cinema - maybe next year.
Goodnight and sweet dreams everyone.
Hugs for the night owls.
night yogi and summer
I know how you feel, Summer. I'm really struggling for ideas for some of the adult presents this year.
Good morning everyone.
Weather is dark and rainy atm.
I might go to one of the big shopping centres, to see if I can get any inspiration for Christmas presents.
Have a good day, everyone.
Good morning everyone
Cloudy here, there may be a bit of rain today.
Summer, the film Paddington has been in the news as the BBFC have given it a PG certificate rather than a U for its content: "dangerous behaviour, mild threat, innuendo, infrequent mild bad language". Fuller details which may include spoilers can be found here:

Good morning everyone, so far a lovely morning with lots of blue sky, I am sure it can't last but as I haven't looked at the forecast I really have no idea. I shall just enjoy it while it lasts.
Oh dear it does seem a shame not to have a U certificate for Paddington.
Some people are very difficult to buy for, my dad was always a nightmare, he always said thank you but there was never anything he really needed or wanted. Very frustrating when you are looking for the perfect present.
Enjoy your day everyone
I remember the original, El.
We have been out for an early lunch at Mr Yogi's (current) favourite restaurant, which is a Chinese Buffet one. Food was lovely, but we are stuffed, so instead of going shopping to look for Christmas presents, we are vegging out on the couch.
