Good morning everyone.

It has rained overnight but there are now some patches of blue sky.  *crosses fingers for a dry day*

Summer, I did sleep well, thank you, and I hope you did too.

I have nothing planned for today, except some housework and cooking.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you are doing.

Good morning everyone, we did have a teeny patch of blue sky but it's just gone, nothing but grey clouds now

I watched the Curry's ad and found it so fascinating I forgot to listen to the music I liked Henry and Henrietta skating together, I would never in a million years have put that music together with the link though.

Enjoy your visit to your friend Skylark, and enjoy your day everyone

If any of you are interested, this is a link to the Care Quality Commssion interactive map of the survey of all GP practices in England. The survey has been criticised for being based at this time purely on answers given by the practices to a series of questions rather than any actual inspection done by the commission. 1 is of greatest concern, 6 is the least.

My doctors get a 6 which is what I would have expected.

Thanks for providing that link EL.  They don't seem to have got as far as inspecting my local practice yet.

It's brightened up no end here, lovely blue sky, I am glad it is for you both as well and that you were able to have a lovely walk with Keira.  I have just been talking with my eldest grandson and he was telling me that his stepdaughter and Tilly his dog get on so well.  She goes up to Tilly and ask for lovies and Tilly cuddles up and rests her head on the little girl's - he says they are the same size and are trouble together

Aww Squiggle, that's so sweet.

Isn't it great when children and animals get along so well?

I love your story of Tilly and your grandson's stepdaughter

Trust me!   Yes it is lovely when children and animals get on so well.  I think it's because Tilly is a bitch, she is probably maternal, it's so sweet and I'm glad you like it too EL.

It's my brother's birthday in a few days time so I got him a birthday card at the weekend and sent it off to him.

The card had a sort of James Bond meerkat on it, my brother watches Atlantis (extremely loosely based on Greek legends), and will be 61. So I wrote a very short story on the inside of the card which sort of connects those. It only took me half an hour so don't expect a masterpiece.

In the days of Ancient Greece, one of the Titans played a trick against Zeus by showing humans how to use fire in making sacrtifices to the gods. This angered Zeus so much that he hid fire from the humans.

The Titan decided to rebel against Zeus and approached a human. He persuaded the human to go and spy on Zeus and those guarding the fire. The human did so and one night spotted an opportunity to steal the fire. So he cut off a huge fennel stalk and passed it to the Titan. The Titan then went to the fire and stole it by hiding it in the fennel stalk. He passed the stalk to the human who gave it to the other people where he lived. And that is how humans came to get fire.

Zeus was enraged when he discovered what had happened. His punishment against the Titan (Prometheus) was too grusesome to go into detail here. The name of Prometheus was immortalised by the naming of the 61st element as Promethium. Promethium is the first element with no stable isotopes so all forms are radioactive.

Zeus also punished the human but not in a gruesome way. He transformed him into an animal, a meerkat, the first of his kind.

Me too Yogi

The driving in Fife isnae the best either. Don't know how many times I've had to back off on those roads with oncoming suicidal overtaking manoeuvres.

I know what you mean. You'd think some of them had a death wish.
