Evening all.

Everyone has gone home now, dishwasher is stacked and I'm relaxing for half an hour before toddling off to bed.

DiL is still not 100% but much better than she was. We offered to keep PB overnight as eldest son is working tonight, but she said she was okay to look after PB. We have told her she can phone us at any time if she feels unwell again.

PB was in fine form. She snaffled her uncle's wallet and proceeded to empty it. She hid a ÂĢ20 note in her doll's pram!

Her favourite book at the moment is Billy Goats Gruff, which was also her dad's favourite book at the same age. Tbh, I've read it so often, I'm considering hiding it. Only kidding, she really loves it.

Good to see you back, Moonie.

Summer, you've had another busy day, I hope tomorrow is more relaxing.

Skylark, I hope you and Granddaughter enjoy the film tomorrow. I will be looking for your film recommendations when PB is old enough to take to the cinema.

Did you watch the footie earlier (daft question!). Mr Yogi was happy with the result.

Well, tbh I seldom watch England games

I dislike intensely the way they play now. Too negative but i'm always pleased if they win

What goes on yours?

The tree decs are mostly red, gold and green baubles. I like traditional ones and have managed to get some which remind me of the baubles we had on our tree when I was small. We do have a few robins and youngest son's Santa decoration, of course. Age 25, he still has to hang it on my tree himself.

Good morning everyone

Leaden sky here, forecast to be dry this morning and turning wet later.

Yogi. I hope DIL is better today and Skylark, I hope you and GD enjoy whichever film you decide on

Moonie, I agree with you that the current England football team are boring. I was listening to the radio 5 commentary yesterday afternoon and the commentators were scathing with their criticism. Because of the quality of the other countries in their group they will probably win every match and qualify for the finals easily. Then when they get to the finals, the same will happen as in the World Cup and they will fail again.

It's the confirmation service today at church. It is likely to be a very long service as there are 5 teenagers and 2 adults being confirmed, family and friends will be there, and there's just the one service today instead of three. No idea when I'll be back here.

El Loro

Good morning everyone, clouds building up and rain later on I think.

How disappointing for DiL Yogi, I hope she feels better today and it's so lovely that PB had a lovely day with all the family.  She sounds like a real little charmer.

I hope you and GD have a lovely outing to the cinema Skylark.

Enjoy the service EL, sounds like it will be a very interesting one with all the children coming to confirmation.

Enjoy your day everyone

squiggle

The reason why the service is long is because the confirmation part of the service is followed by a communion, and the sermon by the bishop could easily be 30 minutes long, so it's likely to be 2 hours long if not longer. We've had confirmation services before but not with quite as many people being confirmed and the first time where there are no other services today, so 3 congregations.

El Loro

I'm back from the service earlier than I was expecting, The service went smoothly but there were 6 rather then 7 confirmation candidates (I have no idea why), the sermon was closer to 10 rather than 30 minutes, and there were fewer people there tham I had expected so the communion didn't take that much longer than normal.

Evening foggy but pretty here today, I've spent it shopping for wreath decorations and then spray painting pine cones, now I'm sewing snowflakes

El I'm glad the service went well and didn't keep you too long.

I hope skylark had a lovely day at the cinema

Thanks velvet, hope you enjoyed yours too. I believe we're heading out for tea

Yogi, Squiggle & Moonie, I hope you're having a lovely day
