Joyron, I've replied.

Here, we have had some sun, at although it's now almost dark, I can see there are few clouds in the sky. Apart from a brief shower, it's been dry today. But we all know that there's a lot of rain from the north tomorrow heading south for Saturday night and Sunday. Ant a couple of days later, it's back to the cold, but comparatively dry, so I don't think it's a rerun of the pre-Christmas snow and extreme cold.

Evening all.
It has been a bit milder here today, which is lucky as my new central heating system isn't working. We had a new timer and thermostat installed yesterday and there seems to be a fault somewhere. I haven't managed to get in touch with the electrician who fitted it yet, so we are back to the wee heaters, for the moment.

Good morning El Loro.    Hope this finds you well.  I hope all my other lovely buddies are looking forward to a nice weekend, whatever you are up to.  I think you have got me muddled with Yogi with regard to the electrical problems El Loro!!

I will pass on the information regarding the medication to No.1 son today.  I'm sure he will be interested to have a look at the website.

It's dismal and very windy here today, but hopefully we won't get any rain.  I bought some daffodils from the supermarket yesterday.  Yes I know they are forced and too early but it did make me smile when I came down this morning to find them in full bloom.  Lovely.

Good morning Squiggle, El Loro and Joyron.
I'm happy to tell you the heating problem has been sorted. The electrician telephoned me last night and the problem was an over sensitive thermostat. I just had to turn it down a couple of degrees and everything worked fine again.
It's pouring with rain up here, and dark and miserable. Hubby and I are going out shopping later today, so at least we'll be indoors.
I notice Skylark hasn't been here for a few days. I hope her flu hasn't got worse.
I'll be back later for a catch-up.
Yogi19
Joyron, yes I'm getting your heating headaches mixed up with Yogi's

Yogi, I'm glad that it was a simple thing to sort out with the thermostat.

Skylark, I hope you are recovering from the flu

Squiggle, I like your picture of daffodils. In a survey, they were voted in as the county flower of Gloucestershire. Dymock, which is a few miles from where I live, is well known for its daffodils.

I think you will like this clip from there.

squiggle, they're beautiful

When I was young, there were a couple of years when we stayed at Blue Anchor which can't be that far away from you.

Hi , thanks for your good wishes, feeling a lot better, but still not 100%. The computer been playing up for a while, then the screen went all ziggy zaggy and i couldnt get into the internet. My daughter,s friend has fixed it, dont ask me what the problem was, he gave me a lengthy explaination, and i just looked all intelligent and nodded in the right places  Nice to be back, hope you are all well

Nice to see you back again Skylark, we were worried you were still ill

I have just watched the repeat of 100 Years of the London Palladium which I must have missed the first time around.  What a great show!  It took me back to my childhood and when I was courting my future husband.  We don't have stars like that any more!  There were some wonderful moments, Danny Kaye, Dickie Valentine, Adam Faith, a really young Cliff Richard and The Shadows.  Judy Garland, Laurel & Hardy, a really really young Julie Andrews, the Queen Mum was so glamorous!  Sammy Davis Junior, Nat King Cole and many more.  And I had forgotten that my dad used to take us to see the pantomime there every year, lovely memories.

He had a lovely birthday thanks Yogi, although he wasnt feeling well, and still on his course of meds. We had a tea party for him , he loved it and blew out his candles with the wee one, she thought it was her birthday, but never mind ! Had some family down, i felt exhaused but held it together, then collapsed! There was some lager in the fridge from New Year, he gave a hint but no! He is 17 now and thinks its ok, not on meds and no anyway !

It's a tricky one Skylark. I know so many young lads who learned to drive at 17, and drove like lunatics for years. My eldest was 19 when he passed his test, and still drove far too fast, for my liking ( he is much better now, but he's 28). Youngest son (22) is due to sit his test soon, and although I hope he won't be an idiot behind the wheel, I'll still worry about him.

Oh i know Yogi, i think he is sensible and we talk all the time, but when at 17 going out with their pals, they want to show off, they think they are invinsible. Who would be a mother eh? It was so nice when they were in the cot, at least we knew they were safe!  I must stop worrying !! No wonder i dont sleep and feel exhausted all the time
