How you feeling today?

That's so lovely - you will soon be home again but with an added bonus of a new sister as a lifelong friend   I love my home too and am so lucky to live here.

No, I won't. i'm not a fan of the Star Wars series. I did see the original film when it was first released before it became as famous as it became as it had sounded promising but I didn't take to it. I did see the other two films in the original trilogy when they were shown on television. They were OK but I wouldn't pay to see them and I haven't seen them again. I haven't bothered to watch any of the more recent trilogy. I assume they have been shown on television but haven't looked out for them.

Not in recent years but over the years I did read a lot of science fiction books. There is a sub-set of science fiction books called space opera. E E "Doc" Smith wrote things like the Lensman series and could be regarded as one of the creators of that genre. I did read some and thought they were not good. The Star Wars films are space opera films rather then science fiction films.

Do not watch if you have a fear of hights.

 He is a nutter!

 He was scared witless.

I'm not surprised, Col, that was one very scary thing to attempt.

Good morning everyone

There's some blue sky here at present but forecast for heavy showers a bit later.

My brother showed me his photos from his recent holiday in Strasbourg while he was visiting. Most of them are architectural and of churches and cathedrals. The one I liked most was of the botanical gardens there and he has sent it to me to upload here. It was raining when he took the photo. It's best seen full screen.

Beautiful pic, El.

Would your brother recommend a visit to Strasbourg?

Yogi19

Yogi, my brother said that Strasbourg was more interesting than he had expected and there's a lot of interesting architectural buildings to see. The whole of the city centre has world heritage status as a result.

Some of the places to see are on this link:

http://www.tourisme-alsace.com...trasbourg-must-sees/

He stayed there for a week and found no shortage of things to see. So if you like seeing European cities, it's worth visiting.

Good morning everyone, very showery today, the good news is that Wales has come back again, phew what a relief

A lovely picture EL, sounds like your brother enjoyed his trip, of course I immediately started looking at the pond, beautiful waterlilies, well established and lovely trees surrounding it.

I am glad your visit went well Summer, that family sounds lovely.  For some reason it reminded me of the lovely twins who were so lovely on Coach Trip and of course were immediately voted off by all the others.

Enjoy your day everyone

Those of us in the CDWM/CT thread were so diappointed when the twins were voted off, they made such a nice change from the usual suspects contestants. It's looking more and more, that we'll be left with a load of nasties and the awful Georgy.

I completely agree with you. The twins were like a breath of fresh air!

Great clip, squiggle

As usual I get the "your computer is slow" advert appearing with the clip. I ran the Windows Experience thing on the computer and the result remained the same as when I bought the computer at 7.1 base score (maximum possible 7.9). I always ignore those adverts as they are meaningless and misleading.

Hi Moonie. They've been tinkering for an hour or so, things are definitely on a go-slow.
