Yogi - these car vandals need a good you know what. Can be a pretty costly repair and although your son knows a painter he's still going to be out of pocket       Did you stick with The Code btw?

squiggs - our dog's the same with vets. She can open all the doors in here including back and needs a good grip on her when she gets her annual booster where she's similarly heading for the exit

Poor little thing, it must be so frightening, the picture below is my favourite though.  I hope you are well velvet .

I wish Joyron had popped in to see us

Any of you thinking about upgrading to a Cray XC40 computer?

It's quite fast and should be adequate. It's actually very fast as it can do 16,000,000,000,000,000 calculations a second.

There are a few disadvantages such as it weighs 140 tonnes and takes up quite a lot of space. It's also on the expensive side at ÂĢ97m.

Evening all

Oh no yogi that's infuriating!!!!!! I hope it's a one off incident, will your son get it repaired right away? I can't stand mindless vandalism.

I often think of joyron, I hope she's alright

I got my errands done and spent some time just watching TV this afternoon. I've been in need of some quiet reflection

Hope you're all having a nice evening

Good morning everyone.

Weather is damp and misty this morning.

Ros, sorry I missed you last night. PB and I are fine, thanks. I hope all is well with you - you sound very busy.

Grocery shopping and picking up another Christmas gift for PB today. I haven't bought any adult presents yet, I need to get a move on!

Have a good day everyone.

Summer, I think my brother would realise what was going on fairly quickly but as he's walking from the railway staion to my house he doesn't have to go past the shops in the city centre unless he wants to.

It would more noisy rather than scary though.

Short clip from the walk last year to show what I mean

Hardly scary. There is one of the zombies which is a bit different from your everyday zombie

Dour day here. Waiting on a new aerial for the boss's DAB which she listens to when she can't sleep. Thought it was the unit at first and went pursuing a replacement on the net only to find that they are discontinued. Then after another check noticed the wire aerial had cracked so problem solved. ÂĢ2'S better than 80 odd. Means she can't rant at LBC for the moment though

Anyway, hope we are all in good spirit

 Well done, Velvet.

Summer, my brother is due to arrive just after 4 this afternoon complete with cakes for the weekend. They are likely to be those Thornton cake bars (a pack of chocolate ones and a pack of toffee ones). He's due to visit me in 4 weeks time at the end of November and 4 weeks after that for 6 days from the 23rd over Christmas.

I've already got 3 adventure games installed via Steam (games like that are rarely issued nowadays other than in downloadable from places like Steam). The one which we will earmark over Christmas is the fifth in the Broken Sword series - The Serpent's Curse. That series is highly regarded by fans of the adventure game genre and must be the top British series. The music is composed by Barrington Pheloung who of course is the composer for Morse, Lewis and Endeavour.

Summer, adventure games are not action games so there's no competition involved. They are closer to stories with puzzles. They are a bit like the better quality hidden object games but with the emphasis on the storytelling and are more involving. Syberia 1 and 2 are amongst the best of them.

I can't really advise on free a/v s/w as I always pay for mine - as I'm dealing with confidential client information I need to go for top quality s/w.
