PB and I had a good day. I took her for a walk, and her dolls and pram had to come too. She's very good at pushing the pram but her steering needs some work. The blackbirds were duly fed with raisins (as was PB).

Pram driving test
We used to watch pram races as children in our local village during the village fayre. Grown ups would get in prams and be pushed around by their team mates in races

Moonie, I agree with you about cold calling. It's likely that the cold calls I had yesterday at 5.30am were not from this country and probably from a scammer of some sort.

IDA (identity assurance) is something being introduced by the government for everyone who needs to file things with government bodies.

 

The original intention was that this would also apply to agents such as myself when filing clients tax returns.

 

At present we agents use the Government Gateway (or our tax programs do) to file tax returns. We have just the one log on ID and password to use.

 

If the new scheme were to apply to us then each client would have a unique log on ID and password and we would have had to use that. It would be made even more complicated for us as individuals would be able to set up these IDs and passwords through a variety of places including banks rather than just one place (HMRC).

it's a lovely sunny, breezy day here so I've popped one the sofa throws in the washing machine so I can hang it outside to dry!
