Moonie, so good to see you posting again. I hope you are feeling a bit better.

Not really tbh Yogi but making me rounds of me various threads to say 'hello' to me friends

We miss you, so I hope you feel better soon and can come back to us.

You better be taking good care of yourself and eating properly.

Good morning everyone

Fair weather cloud here, no rain forecast.

Moonie, nice to hear from you

The pear and almond tart is nice but the pastry base was fragile.

Yogi, I hope the bramble picking goes ahead and that you get the fruits of your labours. I haven't done that in years and when I was young we also went collecting rose hips to turn into syrup to ward off winter colds.

Good morning
I was dreaming when the phone rang and mr summer answered, which woke me in a daze and I couldn't figure out what time or day it was I was happy when I finally realised it's Sunday and I can just lay in a while

Happy weekend!
Yogi I hope you enjoy bramble picking, one of my favourite things to forage for
I often pick & eat them when I'm out with my own Bramble

Good morning everyone, I hope all goes well with the bramble picking Yogi.  Rose his syrup, wow that's a blast from the past EL, I remember years ago my sister in law giving it to her babies, you could buy it in a bottle I remember.  I am sure she dipped the babies' dummies in it, surely they couldn't have been good for the teeth coming through

Still quite a nice morning, fascinating to see the trees starting to change colour.

I hope the wedding went well Summer.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning El.

I remember picking rose hips for my primary school. Have no idea why!

Squiggle, I loved rose hip syrup.

For any fans of Ever Decreasing Circles, the mention of rose hip syrup reminds me of Howard and Hilda, who swore by it.

It seems the bramble picking is still on.

Evening all.

Velvet, good to see you back with us.

Bramble picking went well, even if we did get scratched by the bushes and stung by nettles! Bramble jelly making tomorrow.

Eldest son, DiL and PB came too. PB had a little basket to collect her blackberries, but she kept taking them out and eating them.

Middle son and Dil came for dinner, so we've had a lovely family weekend.

El, I need to get some of that rose hip syrup. I remember my brother having some in a tiny bottle called a dinky (I think).

Squiggle, where are you planning to decorate and have you chosen a colour scheme yet?

Summer, I'm glad you enjoyed the wedding reception - where's our cake?

Oh how well you know me yogi I thoroughly enjoyed Downton, but I wasn't expecting a 90 minute episode, I thought i would be here half an hour ago!
Your weekend sounds blissfully and I'm glad you've enjoyed it sweet dreams

Squiggle, do tell us more about your decorating plans, I love decorating!

We went for a nice long walk this afternoon and ended up picking a bag full of sloes! Mr summer has his own mini brewery going on and will add to it this year. Sloe gin/brandy make excellent gifts for people
We then went out for tea and got back just in time for Downton

El & velvet I hope you have both had a good weekend

Sweet dreams all and leaving hugs for moonie and skylark we miss you both

Good morning everyone

Early morning fog has lifted here and it should be a sunny day.

A get well for Moonie.

Yogi, I think you are right about that bottle being a dinky bottle.

In out church we have a small bottle (about 4" high) for wine as part of the set to take to people's homes where they are not able to come to church and want communion.

It's good that if people are unable to attend church, they are able to take communion at home.
