Aaaaw that's a sweet story and I'm sure the ring will be worth waiting for

Evening all
I feel much better today and have been driven to York and treated to lunch at Betty's! I chose haddock & chips instead of afternoon tea, it comes with the most incredible pea purée I've ever tasted! I brought cakes home with me for later.
We then spent ages chatting with friends who bramble-sat for us today and then took cake gifts to SIL's. So I've been a busy bee, but in a very relaxed way today

I hope you're all enjoying the weekend so far

Evening all.

Weather has been sunny and mild and we had a lovely day with PB, middle son and DiL.

Summer, your lunch sounds yummy - and cakes too! Glad your throat feels better.

El, I liked the diamond story. It has a feel good factor.

Velvet, hope you've had a good day.

Was the pizza good?

PB was great. We took her out and bought a dolls' pram and another doll to play with at granny's house (she has a pram at home). She loves it!  She fed her blackbirds and stole some raisins for herself. She enjoyed seeing her uncle and auntie too.

I only like thin based pizza as the thick ones are too doughy. The toppings sound yummy.

What are you planning for tomorrow?

Hubby, eldest and middle sons are planning a trip to a market at stupid o'clock. I'm not going.

A quiet day for me, I think.

I do hope so! I'm hoping they get some bacon rolls while they are out, then I won't even have to cook breakfast when they come home.

Have you got anything planned for tomorrow?

Haha! I hope so yogi, be nice if they brought it to you in be too

I've got a few household jobs to catch up on tomorrow, but I'm mostly going to be lazing about properly this time
I've neglected my housework something rotten this last fortnight, but I'm not going to worry about it all too much until I feel 100% better

lol, I don't think there is a hope of that!

The housework can keep until you feel well again, so do plenty of lazing about and recharging tour batteries.

Bramble has taken herself up to bed

We need to send our men on a retraining programme.

lol at Bramble. Keira has conked out too. I think she gets tired out, playing chases round the table with PB.

How's Keira doing these days?

She's doing fine. She's eating well and still bouncing about and enjoying her walks. She doesn't walk as fast as she used to, but considering she's nearly 10 (70 in human years) she is pretty fit.

It's funny when they play chases. Keira runs ahead and then waits for PB to catch up, then she runs away again. She peeps between the chairs and table legs to keep an eye on how close PB is getting.

Haha, I think the day may come when PB can outrun Keira. PB only wants to smother her with love, she adores dogs. I think it is due to Harv being fantastic with her.

Yogi19
I bet she feels protected when they're around too. Will you teach her to brush the dogs when she's older?
I love brushing big furry dogs
Bramble is looking scruffy but her fur isn't ready to strip yet, I'm hoping about 3 weeks time should do it nicely

Keira doesn't mind being brushed, so I'm sure she'll let PB help me when she's a bit older. Keira is in need of a bath - that might be a job for tomorrow, if the weather is mild. Trying to lift her into the bath is a nightmare as she is a big dog, so doing it outside with warm water is less stressful for her and means Mr Yogi is less likely to end up with a hernia.

I bet it's very tricky in the winter I had to hose bramble down in the bath this morning, she was too muddy to just towel off. Treating my walking boots is top priority tomorrow, the leather will crack soon if I don't treat them more often

It is difficult in winter, especially as Keira is long haired.

Your boots get lots of use, so it makes sense to take good care of them.

I'm getting tired so I'll say goodnight and sweet dreams.

Night owl hug for Velvet and for our absent friends.

Ros!

Glad you've got a new lappy, I knew from the BB thread that you were having problems with your old one. Hope all is well with you and the family, and that things are on the up at work.

Good morning all.

Weather is dry but there is a definite chill in the air.

Planning a lazy day. Hope you all have a relaxing day too.

Yogi19

Good morning everyone, definitely cloudier and cooler here too.  What a lovely picture Summer, I intend to definitely get snuggly later after church

I am glad the day went well yesterday Yogi, sounds like everyone had a great time.

Enjoy your day everyone

Summer, I wish you success on your Christmas cards endeavours

One of my brother's friends used to do a pen and ink drawing of a building of some architectural interest and copy that on to the Christmas cards he created. They were good quality drawings but not particularly Christmassy.

Is it a stocking theme this year?
