Ooh great Yogi, some of my favourite Christmas recipes are by Delia, including my stuffing and bread sauce which my family are all potty about.

Even hubby, who has some seriously chefy cook books, rates Delia's cookbooks for home cooking. I find her recipes are failsafe and delicious.

One of my clients will be getting quite a large tax repayment when I send in their tax return, but it's not good news. It's because they've been making tax payments on account in January and July but the profits are a lot less than the previous year so they will get all the tax back.

The client is away at present. I think they may suspect it's been a bad year but, if not, they are in for a bit of a shock.

Good afternoon sunny and warm here today, I slept all morning and then took a little drive out with mr summer & bramble to the coast, where we ate pots of fresh sea food.
I'm now having a lay down before the bake off later

El I hope your clients aren't too shocked by their news when they get back

Squiggle you've been a very busy bee! I'm glad you saved your tea towel and I bet the house looks lovely now. Your grandson is a star for helping with the heavier work loads

Yogi that's exciting! what's in it?!

That's a bit of a good news/bad news mixed bag, El.

130 recipes! Everything from turkey, goose and ham recipes, to cakes and puddings, vegetable dishes, desserts, sweets and chocolates, and recipes to use up left-overs. There is one recipe which caught my eye for Spiced Apricot and Orange Chutney - sounds yummy. She also gives you shopping lists for food to buy and when you should buy them, and a 36 hour countdown of what you should be preparing and cooking and all the correct timings.

I think the client will realise that profit has gone down but not as much as it has.

I'm looking forward to practicing some of the recipes.

What a shame, I hope things pick up for them.

Me too Yogi

That chutney recipe sounds gorgeous.

I can write it out for you, if you would like it?

Good morning everyone.

Weather is rather misty this morning.

Summer, I'm sure Christmas will be upon us, before we know it. I'm hoping to be very organised this year.

I'll be watching as much of the Oscar Pistorius verdict as I can, before going out to do the weekly grocery shopping. Having watched the full trial, my prediction would be a verdict of Guilty to Culpable Homicide.

Squiggle, I found the recipe for Delia's Spiced Apricot and Orange Chutney online. Here is the link.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone, still a lovely morning here with another sunny day promised.

Thanks for the recipe link Yogi, I could see your post yesterday but couldn't reply as I was in bed reading and can read but not post on my phone

6 month check-up with the dentist this morning and house group resumes this afternoon so a fairly busy day.

Enjoy your day everyone

Squiggle, I'm glad your dental checkup went well

Back from my visit to the client. It was that large job I do and I curtailed my visit when the book-keeper's husband (who also works there) rang her from home in considerable pain having been off work this week. She rang their doctor who would ring him later. Her husband rang her again to say the pain was worse. She was wondering what to do as their home is half an hour away. The symptoms mean it could require emergency treatment so I advised her to ring for an ambulance which she did. I left at that point. It may be something which is painful but not life threatening or something serious.

I hope he is okay, El.

Oh dear El, I hope he's alright. I think you did the right thing!

Well done squiggle I love a clear report from the dentist, what a relief

Yogi I hope your cupboards have lots of delicious goodies for you

Cupboards, fridge and freezer are full.

I'm expecting him to get a guilty verdict on the culpable homicide charge.

He has three other charges too, relating to firing guns in public places and having ammunition in his safe, which he didn't have a permit for.

Good morning everyone

Cloudy here but not expected to rain.

Get well for Moonie.

Yogi, you only need to be concerned about the pile of ironing if it starts singing to you

I've discovered a website which you may want to add to favorites/bookmark. If you are trying to get on a website but can't and wonder if it's the site or your connection, just type the name of the site in the box and it checks to see if the site is down.

No singing yet, so I'm fine to ignore it.

Thanks for the link.

Good morning everyone, still lovely weather here and forecast to last over the weekend, we might get some rain the middle of next week.  What a lovely mild spell it has been.  I really hope the weather is smiling on you too this Friday morning.

It must be quite worrying for the book-keeper's husband but sometimes I think the reason behind these things is never solved.
