Good morning everyone.  Sounds like I have a lot to catch up on today with Strictly.  I am trying to visualise Tim Wonnacott doing a sexy Samba and to be honest it's an impossible stretch of the imagination and not particularly an image I want to start my day with   Time will tell.

I too hope your throat is feeling much more comfortable this morning Summer and I hope it's a good day for everyone

Good morning everyone.

Weather is dry and bright but a wee bit chilly. I was catching up with Friday's Gardeners' World as I ate breakfast this morning, and Monty Don was saying that Autumn had arrived a few weeks early this year.

Summer, I hope you are feeling better this morning. If things don't improve, you might need an antibiotic to shift the tonsillitis.

Squiggle, did you see the launch show for Strictly last night? What did you think of them?

Have a good day everyone.

Hi Fremsley.

The latest poll is not good news. I must admit I am really worried about that the YES lot are going to win.

What will be will be Yogi but one poll is questionable I keep telling myself

We are going to be a bitter divided nation after this though so thank you David Cameron.

I tried to convince myself that polls have been wrong before, but I am scared.

You are so right, no matter what the result is, there will be a huge number of unhappy people on the 19th.

I dread to think what will happen, El, but I'm convinced it won't be good.

Good morning overcast but pleasant here today with the sun trying to break through

I feel really tired my throat doesn't hurt anymore but it's dry & tickly now. I plan on having a jolly good rest tomorrow

Oh yogi I'll be keeping my fingers tightly crossed for you, I hope people really think about the consequences before they vote yes

Oh, the tickly stage is annoying but at least it isn't so painful.

Thanks Summer.

We have received a cheque relating to an extended warranty we took out with a company which went into liquidation in 2003. The purchase was made between 1998 and 2001 (can't remember what for!) and the cheque is for the huge amount of...........wait for it.........ÂĢ3.52!!!!!! I will spend the rest of today pondering on what to splash the cash.

I've just received a letter from my brother saying when he was visiting me next. I had though it might have been the first weekend in October. But he says that would involve five changes of train going back to London on the Sunday. The following weekend he will be away on a short holiday. The third weekend in October, the only train back to London on the sunday leaves Gloucester at 11.05pm and arrives at his stop at 7.50 on Monday morning. There are no trains at all for the fourth weekend. So he's booked trains for the first weekend in November.

What a shame you have to wait so long for your brother's next visit.

Five changes of train would have been a nightmare for him.

El, that train timetable is terrible and it's a pity you have to wait nigh on a month and a half for your next visit. Sis drives down 70 miles nearly every weekend and it's the highlight of the week for me.

Looks like tomorrow's going to be a big day up here with PMQ's cancelled. Royal influence I wonder? Whatever, they now see the gravity of the situation. Expect plenty aggression from heckling yessers on tomorrows news.

Yogi you might get a tray of pansies and 57p change for your refund if you shop around

Hope everyone's having a good day

I think Sunday's Poll was a shock to everyone. I hope they have been holding something back in their NO arsenal and start showing some real determination to save the union.

I think the pansies sound like a good idea - pretty to look at and some change left over.

Thanks yogi I hope you're enjoying your early night, sweet dreams

I'm feeling up & down really, I wish it would just go and stay gone now. I had sushi for tea, hopefully the miso soup will have helped

Crikey El! I'm appalled at the train services, it's just not good enough. Is your brother coming for christmas too?

Squiggle & Fremsley, I hope you've both had a good day

Leaving goodnight & get well hugs for our lovely, absent friends

Good morning everyone

Another sunny day here.

Get well soon Moonie

Summer, my brother intends to visit me at the end of November and again at Christmas. The train timetable my brother had looked at may improve as he was looking at it weeks ahead and when I had a look on a different site I didn't see the same level of disruption as he had seen.

El Loro

Good morning everyone, another lovely morning, hope it is where you are too.

Goodness EL what an awful train service.  Sometimes you need the patience of a saint to put up with some of the service we are getting nowadays.  Anyway I hope you both enjoy your brother's visit even more when it happens.

I had a nice day Summer thank you.  Very productive, me and my grandson doing a little touching up around the house.  He was cleaning his motorbike as well - the other day he (unwittingly) used my tea towel to dry it I had left it out in my utility room which has a perspex roof and gets lovely and hot to get it dry in between drying up and he thought it was a cleaning cloth.  It took a hot wash with Vanish to get it clean again, I thought for one moment it was a gonner.  Then he chopped down a young maple tree just getting going which my gardener said would rob all the light in that part of the garden, and got it burnt on the bonfire.  And then rubbed the banisters down ready for undercoating and glossing.  He has promised to clean out the filter on the pond too.  I managed to get hoovered and dusted and cleaned through, you can imagine the dust after all the rubbing down we have been doing, so satisfying to see it all disappearing up the Hoover! I hope you enjoy your day off today, any plans?

Have a great day everyone
