If I could, I'd do your scan in your place
It's been a good day thank you, I helped mr summer paint the garage! He's calling it his "man cave" lol
Also, I've arranged christmas! my family are coming to stay and we're all going out for christmas dinner- no slaving away in the kitchen or clearing up
I didn't get to speak to the consultant but the radiographers were really understanding and kind. They said not to worry about it - I kept apologising - and they said my consultant should consider different options.
lol at Mr Summer's "man cave". I think Mr Yogi would like one of those.
Yay for getting your Christmas arrangements sorted out early.
We aren't sure what's happening on Christmas Day. We might have youngest son and his GF, or just youngest son (it depends whether his GF can get enough time off to visit her sister who lives down south). Everyone else will come on Boxing Day.
Woohoo, you rarely get a Saturday off. Are you planning to do something special?
My mum used to work Xmas day but now she's retired she's free to come share Xmas with us. I did have to give her a little pep talk first though because she's a notorious bah humbug and that's not allowed in my house
Oh I know! It's a bit if a spare of the moment thing so I'm not sure what we'll get up to yet. I'm just excited about the possibilities lol
Yes, I need to wait to see what my consultant wants to do next, if anything at all.
It will be nice for you to have your mum with you on Christmas Day - as long as she realises your "No Bah Humbug" rule.
I'm going to get off now as tomorrow is PB day and she's arriving at 8am.
Goodnight and sweet dreams Summer.
Night owl hug for Fremsley and Get Well hug for Moonie.
Good morning everyone.
Weather is cloudy but dry atm.
PB day! A kiss and cuddle from her, and all will be right in my world.
Have a good day everyone, catch up later.

Just what I was thinking you really need to spend the day with your little honey and in no time at all you will be feeling your old self again It's cloudy but dry here too. It was ever so warm and humid last night just as I was preparing to go to sleep but luckily it must have cooled a bit.
I don't know what the boys will do for Christmas as my eldest grandson has just moved in with his girlfriend and they might 'do Christmas' round there and usually where one boy is the other is usually with him but my daughter and I are planning a Christmas lunch here, as usual. So if anyone comes to join us they will be welcome but we will be happy either way. We have a plan to watch Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I have just bought the DVD of the original BBC series which we both loved, with behind the scenes footage and a deleted scene so that should be interesting.
I love Mr Summer's 'man cave'. My hubby had one of those too Will you take advantage of your weekend off and have a weekend away Summer?
Enjoy your day everyone

Well done to Milo, brave wee doggy
Squiggle, did you ever attempt to play the Infocom computer adventure game called Bureaucracy? It came out in 1987, text only game, DOS based and other home computers around then. It was scripted by Douglas Adams and was deliberately complicated.
I didn't have a computer then EL so I have never even heard of it. When I look back now weren't some of those early games so primitive. We bought our daughter an Atari so very similar to the early computer games, we even loved Pong and of course Space Invaders. Mind you there was a Blackjack game on there that has never been equalled, up to 4 people could play against the 'computer' and it was compulsive.
Squiggle, I had one of the Atari original consoles and played Pong, Space Invaders etc. Then I had the Atari 8 bit computers, then the Atari 16 bit computers before switching over to pcs. I've still got that last 8 bit computer I bought though it's a long time since I used it.
Off to the surgery for my anuual check up - see you later.
Back from my annual checkup at the surgery. My blood pressure reading was 122/80 which is a satisfactory result. The doctor will ring me next Thursday with the results of the routine blood tests but I exoect them to be normal. Also had a tetanus booster jab, Some 20 years ago I got jabbed by a rusty nail in the garden and went for a course of tetanus jabs. This one is the final booster one.
Fremsley, my parents had a dog, half corgi, half labrador. That was many years ago before corgidors became fashionable. Although she was strong she was friendly with us.
She looked rather like this:
Fremsley, I wasn't making it up about corgidors. Here's an article about them and they can be very good family pets as you will see from the article.

^^^^ lol
We went shopping, then the park, then a walk to the nearby farm. She chased Keira round the table - Keira waits for her to catch up, then runs away again - and they had cuddles.
Ooh, a trip to Betty's sounds good. You must let us know what you buy - and how many cakes you eat.
I usually get traditional afternoon tea at Betty's, but I'll see what the autumn specials menu is like. I always bring cake back home with me for later too!

I am careful to make sure PB isn't allowed to torment her and that it stays fun for both of them.
I like afternoon tea - is it sandwiches, scones and little cakes? Yummy!
Goodnight and sweet dreams to you too, Summer.
Night owl hug for Fremsley and hug for Moonie,
Good morning everyone
Low cloud here though probably dry today.
Get well hug for Moonie
Yogi, I'm glad you had a good day with PB
Summer, yes, you must use up those vouchers for Bettys.
Interesting possibility for a new way of signing in to bank accounts, Only for Barclays business users to start with but could become more common in future:

I woke in the night with a really sore throat and a fever thank goodness for lemsip capsules
El, I'll check that link a bit later, it fascinates me how the world is changing
Good morning everyone, it has been misty but it looks as if it is going to be a nice day when it gets going.
Definitely something to look forward to a trip to Bettys and lovely to use up your gift vouchers too. Is there a likelihood of picking up some unusual Christmas gifts while you are down there?
Aww Keira sounds like such a sweetheart, and well done too Yogi making sure that PB knows that she musn't tease her, I hate to see a dog teased.
Me and my daughter are off to a funeral this morning. It's a guy who was in hospital with my hubby which turned out to be my hubby's last stay in hospital. They formed such a good friendship and I know they would have been firm friends if my hubby had lived. The guy whose funeral we are going to was an interesting man, he was an artist. He always said he wanted to die with a paintbrush in his hands. He lived in South Africa for many years and had some interesting stories to tell.
Enjoy your day everyone
I meant to say, well done EL on your annual check up, all the results so far look good and I am sure the others will be as well AND a quick hug for Velvet for no reason whatsoever
I have just seen your post above Summer, take care and remember to gargle with warm salt water, nothing soothes the throat like it

"That should also eliminate the grim possibility of a criminal hacking off someone's finger in an attempt to use it to remove funds from an account."
That possibility would never have occurred to me!
Good morning everyone.
Weather is cloudy but seems like the sun is trying to break through.
Summer, I hope the Lemsip helps to soothe your sore throat.
Squiggle, I hope all goes well at the funeral today. He sounds like he was a nice man.
El, I'm glad the annual check up went well.
Fremsley, are you off on any nice trips today?
Moonie, I hope you are taking good care of yourself and will soon be back with us. We miss you.
Sending love to all of our absent friends.xxx
Thank you squiggle and Yogi
That artist sounds an interesting man.
Yogi, I think I've come across that possibility in a film I saw,
Summer, I hope you are feeling better soon. You do seem to get these bugs quite often
Squiggle, good luck today I hope it's a nice send off for the artist man. I hope he gets to see your hubby on the other side
My goodness- finger vein technology crumbs
Summer, I think working in close proximity to people, particularly children, does leave you open to picking up whatever bugs that are doing the rounds. I know my friends who are primary and nursery teachers have the same problem as you.
Afternoon all
Overcast and it's just stopped raining so a day indoors basically. Might have a trawl through the charity shops in Falkirk tomorrow Yogi Sweet I hope your bug was a one night wonder
Hope everyone's day is running smoothly
Hi Fremsley.
Mr Yogi also loves trawling through charity shops.
Sid Pope's favourite seaside resort. It must be as he's been there often enough.

I've been to Skeggy, but only once.
Enjoyed my youth at Butlins Metropole in Blackpool many a time. First time in a Mini.
Got my mum to thank for that.
Your mum is a good 'un.
