Moonie, apart from a spot of rain here this morning it's been dry. I wouldn't say it's cold here but there's no heat wave here.

The vicar's sermon today was, in part, based on part of Gulliver's Travels where he visits Lilliput. The big-enders are at war with the little-enders. It started off with a trivial dispute as the bid-enders preferred cracking their soft boiled eggs from the big end and the little-enders from the little end, but the dispute had got out of control.

Lol what an interesting debate El

Moonie, I did have a bit of a lay in- I'm usually up at 6am

My clothes shopping mission was unexpectedly superb! I found loads of great stuff on sale, and ended up with several items for home as well as getting new work clothes
I've cleared out my wardrobe and drawers, and have 2 big bags for charity

I hope you are all having a lovely afternoon

Have you had a nice Sunday?

It is gripping! I'm not sure enjoying is the right word but it is compulsive and I'm desperate to know who the killers are.

I've had a nice, relaxing  Sunday, and we had a visit from DiL and PB.

I see you've been clothes shopping, did you get lots of nice things?

Oh Crikey yes, I pretty much bought the whole shop lol and I've washed everything already too
I got a cute dress among things, down from ÂĢ30 to ÂĢ7! It'll be great for next summer even if it doesn't warm up here anytime soon

Good for you, and well done on getting the dress for the bargain price of ÂĢ7.

PB was on great form and doing lots of her party tricks, but then she decided to squeeze Keira's ear, Keira jumped up and accidentally knocked PB down, then Keira jumped over her as she lay on the floor! After a quick cuddle, PB's hurt pride was soothed and all was well. I'm sure she'll be knocked on her bottom a few times more, as I can remember our old retriever knocking down my youngest on more than one occasion - accidentally, of course.

As an ex chocoholic I felt I had to the right qualifications to apply - until I read the bit about needing good mathematical skills.

Good morning everyone.

Weather is dry, although rather chilly. I've had to put the heating on this morning.

I need some bird seed and a bag of potting compost, so I'm off to the garden centre today.

Have a good day, everyone.

Thanks El, I hope Fremsley does pop back soon

Aw yogi, I'm glad the bump from Keira didn't cause PB upset for too long I love hearing about their adventures
Hope you enjoy the garden centre, I wish I was doing that today

No lasting damage to PB, or Keira's ear - and PB's hurt pride was quickly soothed.

I haven't been to the garden centre for a while, so I'm looking forward to it.

Good morning everyone, quite a stiff breeze outside but I managed to quickly sweep the drive, those conifer trees are always shedding, while on my way with the broom to tap down the grass again, the badger has been by, no doubt hoping for some more tasty bees

Aww PB I am glad you were able to soothe her hurt pride Yogi, good luck at the garden centre.

EL I am glad Fremsley will be back with us soon.

I get the feeling that Autumn is with us to stay but who knows we may get an Indian Summer, certainly the forecast is unsettled this week.

Enjoy your day everyone

Squiggle, well done on gettting your drive swept in the breeze I agree with you, it would be nice if we do get a bit of an Indian summer. I was having a look on Wiki about Indian summers. Using the English translations, in Turkey it's known as "highly spiced air-dried cured beef", in China as "autumn tiger", and in Brazil as "May's little summer".
