Friday, thank goodness! It has been dire this year (thanks to BB manipulation, twists etc and Helen as the worst HM ever) and I can't wait for it to finish.

Woke to the sad news that Robin Williams has died of suspected suicide. He had an immense talent but sadly had to fight his demons over the years. His publicist stated that he had been battling severe depression. May he rest in peace.

Good morning everyone, really showery here too.  So very sad to hear about Robin Williams, a truly funny man, very talented.  Depression is horrible and it always makes me so sad to know that so many who have tried to take their own lives and have been saved have gone on to say thank goodness and it was just an impulse and they are glad to still be alive.  The saddest words in the world maybe 'if only'.

 

The badger dug up the wild bees nest! I know they also have to live but I find it sad.

 

Let's hope today is a calmer day than yesterday whatever you're up to, I hope it goes well.

Oh Squiggle, what a shame about the bees' nest.

Until today, I had no idea that badgers dig up bees' nests and eat them.

I wonder if the queen escaped and can set up a new nest before the weather turns too cold?

Squiggle, what a pity about the wild bees nest , Maybe Yogi is right that the queen might have excaped.

I think Robin Williams was bipolar which would mean that his mood could swing from extreme happiness to extreme depression if the medication wasn't as effective.

Badgers eat bees nests?! I wonder if it's the honey that attracts them?

Robin's depression must have been extreme, I hate to think how he's suffered

What is wrong with these people who take pleasure is damaging things? I just don't get it!

 

 

I've been clearing out my food cupboards today. I'm ashamed to say I threw out so much stuff, I had to go to the tip. Now, my cupboards look very tidy but rather empty. I might have nipped into Tesco on the way home from the tip, to restock my 'baking' cupboard.

Yogi, it sounds as if you've been busy. I remember once doing a spot of clearing out when I came across a cake tin which still had a cake in which had been given to me and I had completely forgot about it

Let's just say it had gone past its use by date.
