Yogi, I don't think any of us are looking forward to the remnants of Bertha tomorrow. At present in my area it's forecast to be wet and windy but not as bad as some places. Coastal areas could have the biggest problems as it coincides with higher than normal tides caused by tomorrow evening's supermoon. As normal the Express have linked the two together with prophesies of the end of the world. Typical scaremongering to try and get people to buy the paper.

To celebrate the end of the world I have treated myself to another of those M&S puddings for this weekend. I can't find any pictures to post but it's a dessert called "coconut milk dessert with a pineapple & chili salsa".

I can cope with the rain (let's face it, we are used to rain up here) but for the sake of my greenhouse, I'm hoping it won't get too windy.

That sounds like an unusual dessert, El. You'll need to let us know how it tastes.

Yogi, I'll let you know what it's like. It's certainly a bit different. I've now tracked down a picture of the dessert and it is quite attractive looking:

It's pleasant and refreshing. The chiili in the salsa balances the pineapple so the pineapple isn't too sweet, and the coconut milk balances the heat of the chilli (not that it's particularly hot).

It's worth trying if you want something a bit different and exotic though it costs £3-50 for the two you get,

Odd phone call just now asking me if I had ever worked in a factory or a mill. My guess is that they were ringing people to see if there was any scope for making an industrial claim.

England decided to thrash India in the cricket this afternoon beating them in under 3 days as they knew that the likelyhood of playing tomorrow is remote.

Cheltenham Town beat Bury this afternoon in the football. That's gone against the predictions as Bury are tipped for promotion this season and Cheltenham aren't expected to do much this season as the team is being rebulit from last year with 8 new players.
