I've had a lovely day with PB and youngest son. She cried when son had to go home, because they have lots of fun together - and he doesn't mind going out into the garden a hundred times with her, to feed the blackbirds.

I'm off for a bath and another early night. Have a good evening everyone and I'll catch up tomorrow.

Hugs for Summer and Moonie.

*night owls*

I've had a busy but lovely day off and thoroughly enjoyed the bake off! Unfortunately, I did eat 2 cakes and some chocolate though
I hope you all enjoyed yours too

I love the countryside and really enjoy harvest time, I don't mind the big vehicles being around. I'm pleased the farmers have had a successful year, it's long overdue IMO

Yogi I'm glad you've had a lovely PB day your son sounds very patient

Sweet dreams to all who have gone to bed and leaving an extra hug for our absent friend
~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone

Fair weather here today.

Yogi, I'm glad you had a lovely day yesterday

Summer, I think you may recover from eating two cakes and chocolate

El Loro

Good morning everyone.

I haven't seen the forecast for my area but the sun is shining atm.

Summer, I watched last night's Bake Off. Some of them are very good bakers.

Don't worry about eating the cakes and chocolate, you are so active you will soon burn off the extra calories.

I'm going grocery shopping later on, and I'm sure a cake or two will find their way into my shopping trolley.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone, very high cloud and a dry day today.

I'm left behind a bit with TGBBO as although I like Mary Berry I can't stand Paul Hollywood, so I don't watch.  I can't wait for the Great British Sewing Bee to start again though, for me that's so riveting.  I am sorting out all my photos now and putting them into albums and came across my daughter's wedding photos.  I made the dress and can hardly believe I did now.  It is so beautiful and no way could I ever do it now.  I will scan a photo in some day to show you all (with my lovely new printer, which is wonderful).

It sounds such a lovely day with PB, it must melt the heart of your middle son Yogi when she cries when he goes, aww.

Have a great day everyone

It was youngest son who was visiting yesterday, but PB has done the same when middle son was visiting too. They love her to bits and it seems that the feeling is mutual.

I look forward to seeing the pic of your daughter's wedding dress. I have great admiration for people who have dressmaking skills, as mine only extend as far as putting on a button or putting up a hem.

So far, my day is going okay. The sun is still shining and I've done some housework and weekly grocery shopping. Some Yum Yums fell into my trolley.

I used to knit when my sons were small but haven't done much since then.

I always get muddled with your sons Yogi I thought it was middle son that was visiting, and I thought he was the fish police.  Perhaps I'm right on the fish police bit but wrong on him visiting, or of course I could have got it wrong both counts, which wouldn't be unusual for me.

I couldn't believe the dress when I saw it again today.  I couldn't do it today, it was lace over dupion for the bodice and dupion for the skirt with lace trimming the sleeves.  The bodice was boned and the petticoat alone was very complicated.  It has a zip and a waistband and there were so many layers of net that it stood up by itself, so the dress needed no hoop but stood out by itself, she looked so beautiful in it. Lovely memories.  her dad looked so handsome and proud. I will try and remember to bring down the photo tomorrow so I can scan it.

That's because I have so many sons, Squiggle.  You are right that middle son is fish police - he usually visits on Saturdays which is why I clean out the fish tank on Saturday mornings.

The dress sounds absolutely beautiful. I bet it was all the more special to your daughter because of the love and work you put into it for her.  I'm really looking forward to seeing the pics.

That might be a good idea, Moonie, as I can't even refer to them by their first initial as two of them have the same initials.

I thought I must be hearing things just now, I have just watched an ad for a loan company with interest rates of 1971%!!!!!!!!!! How is that legal?

Some of those short term loan companies charge more than 2000%. Imo, they are nothing more than licensed loan sharks!

Yogi, I am sure I have seen 5000% on one of the consumer programs unless it has changed now

That's shocking, Moonie. Something needs to be done about it.
