I hope they make a comeback and you can find somewhere selling them again. It's always our favourites that get discontinued isn't it!

When I find some, I'm going to bulk buy and stick a load in my freezer. It's either that or try to make them myself.

You are right about favourites being discontinued. I loved Campbells tomato and rice soup, but when Batchelors bought it over, they kept all the other flavours and cancelled my favourite.

Good morning everyone.

A cloudy start to the day, with rain expected later on.

I'm glad you slept well, Summer, and hope you feel refreshed.

Campbell's tomato and rice soup was delicious. I tried to replicate it by adding rice to Batchelor's tomato soup but it wasn't the same.

Expecting family to visit today, so will catch up later.

A bit wet here this morning as forecast, though tomorrow should be a lot better.

It's sad when products we love get discontinued. Yogi, there is one tin left of the tomato rice soup on the Amazon, com website but that's the US site.

When I did a search for it, it seemed that it was only available in America now - which suggests it is still being produced but not sold in the UK. I guess it wasn't popular over here, except with me.

Good morning everyone, it's always the way when you like something they stop making it.  M & S used to make some lovely gorgeous buttery chicken pieces, they were a bit like chicken nuggets but not the rubbish that some chicken nuggets are, I loved 'em and they discontinued them, I sympathise.

We had loads of rain overnight, the pond has filled up nicely, the garden really needed it and we could do with more but it's quite a nice day now.

Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you're up to

They are newish from M&S. There's other desserts in that range as well.

I'll need to give them a try.

Though they are a bit pricy at ÂĢ3-50 for the 2, so I would regard them as treats rather than as regular. I'm treating myself to them this weekend as it's been quite a week with that peristent phone scammer and doing that client's accounts and tax which was more complex than my average client.

The Bishop of Gloucester Michael Perham has stood down from his role with immediate effect citing personal reasons. He was due to retire in November and I had posted a few weeks ago that Gloucester might be the first place in England to get a woman bishop. That possibility has probably vanished.

He was due to visit our church in late September but I assume that won't happen now.

What a shame, a female Bishop is long overdue

I'm sure that the C of E will appoint a female Bishop in the near future though not at Gloucester. It's expected that the C of E will ratify the ability to appoint women at the next General Synod in November. That should just be a formality as the change has to go through Parliament first as the law has to be changed. Michael Perham had been due to retire in November which is why Gloucester could have been the first.

It was wet here this morning, had dried up and was quite sunny, but it's become dark again with some more rain.

El, you work hard and deserve a treat, enjoy the passion fruit desserts

I think we should all take a trip over to America and then we could fetch some tomato & rice soup back with us

I'm up for that - and we can have the passion fruit desserts for afters.

I suppose we needn't hurry back really, we could go anywhere after christmas!

I've got a new toy yogi, would you like to see it?!

No rush at all, we can take a leisurely trip and see all the sights.

Yes please, I'd love to see your new toy.
