It was a really good scheme EL and by rights my car should be included by now.  But of course as soon as the government realised that more and more cars were lasting and would be exempted they stopped doing it.  My car is 25 years old.

Isn't it a pain Yogi?  We pay massive tax every time we fill the car up and ÂĢ145 for what?  Just driving on the roads.  It's like the TV licence, when I told some Americans we had to pay just to watch the TV they could hardly believe it and as for adverts we get just as many from the BBC for their programme promos.

I agree with everything you say, Squiggle.

You might be very interested in my post on Chris's Classy Chicks.

Even our tac discs are in synch.

I 'liked' your post and I think you could very well be right about Helen.

Edit: sorry Squiggle, I have now seen your second post and I agree with everything the DS poster said.

I will keep mine and when PB is older, I'll show her how we used to do things in the olden days.

Good morning everyone

Cloudy here, currently dry, but forecast to be wet from noon.

Yogi, my plan today is to do the corporation tax calculations for what HMRC call a members club. This client has a lot of investments and there have been quite a few disposals during the year which means that I have to do a capital gains computation for each disposal. The calculations are a bit more complicated than those for individuals,

My client's contact has been on holiday this week and I intend to send him my draft accounts, tax calculations, and a long list of queries to him so he has them on his return. There's a meeting of the trustees in mid August which is why I've been concentrating on this client during the week.
