Good morning everyone
Another warm and sunny day here but could be the last dry day for a while.

Evening Summer, I'm glad you are feeling better.
El is Banksy?!!
I'm not Banksy
(but whoever Banksy is, he would always deny being Banksy)
Good morning everyone.
It's raining up here atm. I think we are to have showers, with dry spells at times.
Of course you aren't Banksy, El. *taps nose and looks knowing*
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning Summer. Keira also finds it difficult to go walking when it's really hot, so we tend to wait until evening when it's a bit cooler.
I've been doing some gardening this morning before it gets too hot to be comfortable to work outdoors and because the forecast is unsettled from tomorrow.
I've just received a parcel which I think is that new phone with the blocking numbers facility. Needless to say since I ordered it yesterday morning I haven't had another call from the scammers
Good morning everyone a rather nice morning but much cooler and fresher which is nice. I just cannot imagine EL moonlighting as Banksy
Yogi my hubby used to plant berberis to deter our dog from digging. Some of those plants have very long thorns and maybe you could plant some of those where the chicken wire is now, they certainly stopped our dog.
Enjoy your day everyone, and those dog walks in the cool of the day
Morning Summer what have you got planned for your day off? I am going to try to get my head around Photoshop, it's a task doomed to failure I think
I paid for express delivery so that I would get it sooner
Squiggle, I wish you success with Photoshop, not that it's someting I have any real experience with.

Always the way EL you will have immense satisfaction from getting those numbers blocked.

I don't hold out much hope EL, I was seduced into it, it's always seemed so complex to me but I was watching a YouTube clip about how to restore a faded photo and it looked so easy I thought I have to give that a go.
Squiggle, quite some time ago my brother gave me a touch screen drawing device which came with Photoshop. I found the drawing device very cumbersome. Although I could use Photoshop without the device I found that it was not intuitive in use and haven't touched it in ages.
I saw some amazing art created on an iPad by a real artist and you wonder whether you could do similar, for me the sad answer is 'no', I would love to be able to draw, would you as well EL?
Squiggle, I think most of us would like to be able to draw, but I don't seem to have the talent for it.
My mother was quite good but my great grandather (her grandfather) was a professional artist and did quite a number of lithographs of London. You can see some of them on this site:

They are very good EL, he was very talented.

He was talented. Some of his work were posters for London Transport and are in their museum.

There's also one artwork "Spring in the Park" on that site which stands out from the rest.

Those are great, he was very talented, El.
The Spring in the Park one is my favourite, very beautiful.
We have a wild bees nest in the garden, it's not doing any harm, it's in a hole, probably dug by badgers, under one of the shrubs. I was just out there pulling away some dead leaves and I saw one go in, quite exciting, or am I very sad
Squiggle, I agree that the Spring in the Park is the nicest.
Considering the plight of bees with their numbers declining, I would want to keep the nest safe if at all possible.
A couple of Youtube clips.
Firstly watch this one:
and then watch the second one. Although the dialog is in German you will see why I posted the clips.
A quantum Cheshire Cat has been created:

Don't expect to understand what it's about as only a quantum scientist would, for a quark isn't a boojum you see.

I hate feet, so it was really hard for me to watch the clips, but I got the gist. Amazing that he can play like that using his feet.
Sorry I missed you, I was in the BB thread. Goodnight and sweet dreams, Summer.
Moonie, get well soon.
Good morning everyone
At present it's warm and sunny here, but it's forecast to become unsettled from noon.
I hope Moonie is better today.
I challenge anyone to watch a film called Ice Queen (2005) which is one of the films which gets shown frequently on the Movies4Men channel. I have seen fragments of it when switching channels and it is a strong contender for the worst film ever made. From what I can tell, it's nothing to do with the Snow Queen but is some sort of horror thriller.
Good morning everyone.
Weather is cool and overcast. I think rain is forecast for later on.
El, I've never seen that film and don't think I'd want to. I don't think I have a Movies4Men channel, is that on Sky?
Moonie, I hope you soon feel well enough to come back to us.
Out and about today, catch up with everyone later.
Yogi, I only mentioned that film as from the tiny bits I've seen of it, I've never seen acting quite as bad as in that. I was not recommending it. The channel is on Sky 325 and, as it's on Freeview, I assume it's free. Most of what is shown on that channel is of little worth, unless you like war films and documentaries. The only reason I ever look at what's on is that sometimes they show good quailty older films. Although those have been shown on other channels over the years, the biggest surprise was that Luis Bunuel Robinson Crusoe film I mentioned some weeks ago.
Good morning everyone, I think we are getting similar weather to yours EL, that sounds a 'horror' film in more ways than one EL
I love the big bee Summer
Hope you are soon feeling better moonie
It's that time of year, off to pay my car tax at least I can do it online now but for the amount of motoring I do I resent it.
Enjoy your day everyone
Squiggle, I know you have an old car but don't know how old. Cars which were built 40 or more years ago are exempt from car tax.

lol El, it's okay, I didn't think you were recommending it. I just meant that having heard your description of it, I wouldn't want to see it.
We have Virgin in the livingroom and our bedroom, and have freeview in the spare bedrooms, but we are never in there so don't watch freeview. I am probably missing out on some good programmes.

Thanks for reminding me, Squiggle, as my car tax is also due today.
