Good morning everyone, a pleasant morning here, a bit fresher I think.  No rain forecast towards the end of the week but these forecasts have a way of changing when we get nearer to the time.

 

I hope your PB minding day goes well Yogi, when are you going to catch up with your friend Summer?  And did you enjoy your Christmas film yesterday evening?

Squiggle, I don't think any rain is forecast in my area until Friday when there's a risk of a shower later on but the weekend could be on the wet side. But as you say these forecasts tend to change.

Though why the Metcheck site provide a daily forecast for every day for the next 6 months is pointless and useless

 

EL I have noticed a problem with the site.  It might be just me but I tried yesterday to post a picture in this thread and the words I had posted appeared and no picture and just now I tried to post a video clip in the site and used the usual method of copying and pasting the site url into the video box and again nothing appeared.

Squiggle, the picture you posted yesterday, if it was the one of a golden retriever puppy and the message "Enjoy your Sunday", that picture does appear in your post as normal on my computer and Moonie was able to quote it.

Can you try posting the video link as part of a post. I will then try to see if I can post it as a video.

It may be that clearing the browser cache might help as if that has become full then all sorts ot odd problems can arise.

 

Just testing to see if I can post a Youtube clip (and it's cute)

No problems there.

Squiggle, I'm meeting my friend on Wednesday for lunch and I did enjoy the first 20 mins of the film, until I fell asleep lol

Squiggle, I looked at the code behind your post to identify the web address of your image. When I tried to access the web address I was unable to get access and got an error message. That would explain why the picture hasn't appeared. I did notice that the address started with https rather than http which shows that it was on a secure site. If you had to log on to that site to get access to the picture, it would not be possible to post that picture elsewhere.

There are some sites which do not let you paste any pictures from them such as flickr. I've tried posting from there before and it doesn't work.

You could try posting a link to the page you found the image but if it was you have to log on to, we wouldn't be able to get on.

 

 

It is a puzzle EL, it is a picture from FB which I post from all the time.  I tried to upload the picture to my Photobucket account, and I will try posting it again.  I do hope FB haven't changed their settings in some way.

FB has changed everyone over to secure browsing so to share pictures on here in future would be very clunky, involving uploading them all to Photobucket first.  It seems that any 'improvement' always leads to things getting worse   Thanks for your help EL, I wouldn't have had a clue about that without your help.

I did find a question on Facebook. Apparently it is possible for someone posting a picture on Facebook to tag it (their words). Tagging it makes it impossible for that image to be copied elsewhere.

 

There's still your query on not being able to post a video clip. I have to go out now but will be back later.

 

It was from FB too EL so presumably it's fallen foul of the same protocol.

Squiggle, it seems that there is no official way to embed a Facebook video on another website though there is an unofficial way which has to be done through the HTML option but that's a bit technical.

evening all, I'm just waiting for some fish fingers to cook.

My busy day didn't let in the afternoon, so I came home and did a workout DVD to give my muscles some exercise!
It's too hot to walk bramble yet so we're going later

Had a lovely day with PB. She would be quite happy if she could spend all day outdoors, toddling about and feeding raisins to the birds.

Yes I am thanks the trick with exercise DVDs is stick to the 2 minute rule- straight in from work, change clothes, get that DVD on! If you don't stop, the tiredness doesn't get to you then, you feel good after you've done it
My neck & shoulders felt tense and my back wanted to ache after work, a good soon workout fixed that
