Sorry I haven't been around much today; work got hectic and then we decided to go to yo sushi for tea! We left bramble with SIL, and have been there about 2 hours chatting after tea. BIL is doing the big walk with us this weekend.

I think I'll cut the front lawn and weed the borders this morning. Apart from the dandelions, I'm fighting a losing battle with moss.

Good morning everyone, grey skies everywhere but a bit of rain is just what the garden needs so I am looking on the bright side.

 

Yogi I found out from our gardening expert on Radio Devon just after Lawnkeepers started coming here what you need to do to get rid of moss.  It's Lawn Sand, readily available from garden centres, it kills the moss and turns it black just like it did when the guy from Lawnkeepers put his magic potion on mine.  Good luck.

 

I am later this morning because I might have suspicious activity on my Amazon account and am trying to sort it.  The email address seemed to have been changed and I have put a freeze on the account until it's sorted.  They will contact me within 24 hours.

El, I think my solution to the moss is better than yours but I have a feeling the lawn wouldn't look as good after my efforts

Sorry everyone, I think my last post was misleading. The moss is in the borders, not in the lawn.

I am sure lawn sand would still work Yogi, the active ingredients would surely kill the moss just the same, I found this link from gardening experts anyway

We get moss in our pots

We've been quiet at work this morning but I'm lucky because my wonderful colleague sent me off to run my after work errands. I've got everything done and feel really productive 

It's silly weather here as it's quite sunny now. That will probably mean that it will pour again any time soon

Weather-wise, it has been a funny day. We have had warm spells with sunshine, then cloudy spells when it has felt pretty chilly. Luckily, Keira and I went walking during the sunny spells.

And I'm right. The One Show now on BBC2, with the Andy Murray match on BBC1. I assume that Eastenders will follow once the Andy Murray match finishes so some time after 9, and Celebrity Masterchef will disppear to be shown some time in the future though with Wimbledon, World Cup and Glastonbury could be some days. It's not that I'm objecting but for those people who don't follow sport or Glastonbury, the BBC does not care about them one bit. 

We've always known that EL.  They should have a dedicated sports channel.
