It's nice to have a good long chat.

I have been to the tip and I've weeded the borders in the front garden. The weeds seem to be multiplying like mad atm. 

I shall mow the lawn after I've had some lunch, then I need to catch up on some ironing.

Yogi, I weeded most of my front garden in between footie games yesterday. Still a bit to do though. I think I have 'done' my knee in. When I walk it has started to  'click' now. It doesn't at present though

I have had a ginger, black and white kitten playing in my back garden It has found a little green ball from somewhere and has been playing with it for a while now It obviously belongs to someone because it has a collar and tag on

She isn't a well woman at all EL but she doesn't let that stop her being a tower of strength to all, she is someone I really admire.  Her late husband was a minister who spent his whole life ministering to his flock.  Yes Yogi and moonie it was lovely to have a catch up.  She is inspirational to me and I am hoping the Lord will leave her with us for a while yet, she is really a blessing and I am proud to be her friend.

Squiggle, your friend seems similar to a woman at my church who I have known since childhood when we went to the same church in town. Her husband was a priest for the second half of his life. Her daughter married a man who went to the same church and became a priest. Her youunger son decided to become a priest a few years ago. She was friends with my mother when we were at that church. When my father died I encouraged my mother to start coming to our church again in part by saying that the woman was at out church so they were able to rekindle their friendship.

Good morning everyone, I am glad the sun is shining for you Yogi, it's another lovely morning here too, aren't we lucky.  I hope moonie and EL are equally blessed, we know Summer is and likewise for all absent friends and occasional visitors.

I had wondered what the octopus was all about I wonder who dreams all these things up.

My grandsons erected my new garden gadget yesterday, it's called the garden spider and it's like a cross between a net and a tent.  It goes over the pond to protect the fish from the heron but it still enables you to see the pond fine.  I am very pleased with it.

Moonie I hope your knee has stopped clicking now and is back to normal

Squiggle, that octopus picture is Google's tribute to the late Paul the psychic octopus who became world famous for forecasting the results of football matches played by Germany with 85% accuracy.

That sounds like a very useful gadget. We could have done with one of those when we lived up north, and next door's cat used to use our pond like his local fish takeaway.
