More than likely. He's not at work tomorrow so he doesn't need to be up early.

I, on the other hand, need to be up early, as PB is arriving between 8-8.30am.

She will love them. She will be up at the tank trying to get a hold of one to 'play' with

I hope she never tries what my youngest brother did. I came home one day to find my goldfish dead. Turns out baby brother had taken it out of the tank to talk to it. When it was gasping for air, he thought it was talking. He was only four or five at the time.

I'm going to go now, Moonie, to make sure I am bright eyed and bushy tailed for my granddaughter in the morning.

The new fish have survived their first night, which is a relief!

Fairly cloudy here, forecast is dry this morning with showers this afternoon. There was no rain here last evening or overnight but to the south I could see lightning and hear thunder most of the evening. I checked on the local news website and it was the Stonehouse/Stroud area which got it. The roads were bad with lots of flash flooding. The Nailsworth weather site shows that 21mm of rain fell during that time.

We have had a lot of sunshine but it went very dark, a little like it is now but stayed dry

Yes not bad thanks moonie, it's a football-free zone.  My hubby was a great footy fan (his club Leyton Orient - they always used to say they held fan club meetings in a phone box ) but now it's just me I make sure I have plenty to watch until it's all over.  Enjoy anyway

Last night's show was great, Squiggle.

I've had a lovely day with PB. She's a real giggler now and has a good sense of fun. She likes the blackbird that comes to my kitchen window ledge and looks in, waiting for me to give him some raisins. He is pretty tame and will come next to us to eat the raisins, which PB likes. She's been saying "birds" all day.

Middle son and DiL came for dinner. My new fish passed middle son's inspection.

I'm a bit tired so I'm having an early night. Goodnight and sweet dreams Moonie and other night owls.

I've been to see my dad and am awaiting first visit of the day from youngest son, who will be followed by middle son, then eldest son. 

Moonie, hope you are not too down after last night's football result. Hubby is a bit fed up but is taking solace in the fact that England played quite well.

It's quite close weather here but no sign of any rain. As far as England is concerned, they are in easily the toughest of the 8 groups in the World Cup as Group D is the only one with 3 countries in FIFA's top 10 in the world rankings (Uruguay 7, Italy 9 and England 10). And the 4th country in the group - Costa Rica - has the highest ranking (28) of any of the lowest ranked countries in each of the 8 groups.

The weather is very close up here too, El.
