Good morning everyone

Fair weather here today, tomorrow forecast is not good.

The person at church who sends me the email for the weekly church website update has returned from Sweden. He sometimes adds little messages and this week's message is:

"Gud sade "Ljus, bli till!" Och ljuset blev till."

It is one of the most famous lines from the Bible.

El Loro

Good morning everyone, what a lovely surprise for Yogi, lots of lovely pancakes.

I'm back from running my grandsons to catch the London National Express.  They are off to visit their other Gran, who's 70 today.

That beautiful sentence sounds great in Swedish too EL

Enjoy your day everyone, it's cool and cloudy here with spots of rain, I hope it's brighter where you are

Well said EL.  I should have explained, that is Gold Beach which is shown, the flags were planted by the British Legion, here is an even more poignant picture with a survivor.  I believe it was British troops that landed on this beach, as you so rightly said many other nationalities were landing on the other beaches.

I did my normal weekly shopping this morning instead of tomorrow because of that forecast. Many places will miss the worst of the thunderstorms but the Met Office say that some places will get in excess of 20 mm in an hour and once or two places over 40 mm in a couple of hours. The area at risk is virtually the whole of England and Wales, and the southern part of Scotland.
