It has been down most of the day and the guy at Virgin could see that we were getting no signal at all. It does seem to come and go, so hopefully I'll be able to post occasionally. I just didn't want the Buddies to think there was something wrong, if I do happen to disappear for a couple of days.

Evening all, I hope you each had a good day mine has been one that, as they say up here "has had my head battered!" I needed some down time after work, just to be quiet. I feel refreshed now

Moonie, the little smiley with the rain/lamppost is one of my favourites yet

Yogi I hope your internet problems are soon resolved, we don't like it when you can't get online!

Squiggle, I'm holidaying with my mum this time, mr summer politely declined our invitation. We're celebrating her retirement I'm happy knowing that bramble will be at home with him while I'm away

El, I hope you're enjoying your weekend with your brother
~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning, everyone.

Weather is cloudy and showers are forecast. I'm glad hubby and I did the gardening yesterday. We trimmed the trees/hedge at the bottom of the back garden. It was around 8-9feet high, so hubby had to get the ladders out. My thigh muscles are aching from all that bending up and down to collect the cuttings, as well as weeding the borders in the front garden. I'm going to have a relaxing day today.

Hope you have a good day with your friend, Summer.

El, I hope you are enjoying your weekend with your brother.

Squiggle, is your grandson managing okay with his arm strapped to his side? Is it the arm/hand he uses to write with? A woman I knew, fell over when she was ice skating. She fell forward and put out her hands to break her fall and broke both wrists. She had both arms in plaster for six weeks, and couldn't do anything for herself.

Have a good day all, will be back later - internet permitting.

Good morning everyone, higher cloud today and a mainly dry day forecast.

That sounds like a huge job Yogi, good to have it out of the way.  My grandson is managing OK, he's had a copy of the letter that his consultant sent to his GP which says the shoulder is healing well.  It's his left arm and he is right-handed so that is good, he is still trying to help me with one good arm, bless him.  That must have been a nightmare for that woman, I think it's something we all dread not being able to even go to the loo on our own, poor thing.

Have a great day everyone.

She did say that was the worst thing of all.

It was a mixed pack with some trailing, as well as upright plants - no details of which specific plants are included so I won't know what half of them are until they are in bloom. I have a lovely purple Aubrieta in a planter, it's gorgeous.

I've dropped my brother off at the railway station. We had a pleasant weekend, the cakes of course were yummy and he should visit me again in 6 weeks time.

The weather today has been good in my area, 19C, only a bit of cloud, and no rain today.

Moonie, I hope all your problems can be sorted quickly and can be magicked away down Yogi's wishing well

Squiggle, I'm glad your grandson's shoulder is healing nicely

Yogi, that poor woman.

El Loro

I'm glad you enjoyed your weekend with your brother, El.

Apologies Squiggle, in my earlier post I meant to say I'm pleased your grandson's shoulder seems to be healing well.

I'll make a special wish at my wishing well for Moonie's problems to be solved quickly.

Summer, I hope you've had a lovely day with your friend.

Internet has been down again tonight, so it looks like the issue is still ongoing. I hope it is down when the engineer comes tomorrow, as intermittent faults, in most things, can be a pain to track down.

Good morning everyone

Cloudy here, no rain yet but there are some showers in the forecast.

Summer, I'm pleased that you had a lovely walk yesterday

Yogi, I'm glad your thighs have recovered and I hope the engineer resolves the connection problem quickly. Sometimes it's possible for the person at Virgin at the other end of the line to actually check that there is a fault which they can see at their end and that would then give the engineer an idea as to what to look for.

El Loro

Good morning everyone.  That's certainly an idea EL, I am sure they will get to grips with your connection problem today Yogi   No worries re grandson's shoulder, I took it as read that you were pleased with the shoulder healing.

What with the bending and stretching on Saturday and your physio exercises you must have very strong legs by now Yogi, you will be joining Summer on her walks soon I am sure

I am glad you had a lovely walk yesterday Summer and EL I hope your weekend went really well, are there any cakes left?

Moonie I hope all is well at your end, see you soon

Squiggle, with my father being such a book reader with over 3000 books in the house, it's not really surprising that I read many books as a child. It's sad when children miss out.

Yogi, I'm glad that your broadband connection has been sorted though it seems odd that you were getting a very poor signal. It must be that you use wireless rather than wired and that there was some sort of interference.

As a child, I was always reading. In fact, I was once quizzed by a librarian who felt I was returning books too quickly to have read them. I was able to answer all of her questions about the books I had read, and prove her wrong!

My dad believes in children being outdoors to play when the weather was good, so I used to be sent outdoors - and I took my books with me.

I have already bought lots of books for PB and will continue to do so. Her mum loves to read too, so between the two of us, we hope to encourage a love of books.

I can really identify with that.

I find lavender baths are good for aching muscles, and I love the smell too.

*night owls*

Sorry I missed you yogi I hope you enjoy your early night and sleep well

I love lavender baths!
I just discovered that Simple do a lavender bubble bath, I like it, as I do all of their products I have tried

*tries not to think about El's leftover cake*

Leaving goodnight hugs for everyone, especially our absent friend. Sweet dreams

Good morning everyone.

I woke at 5am to the sound of a melodic dawn chorus. It was so lovely, I didn't want to go back to sleep and miss it, so I've been awake since then.

Summer, M&S sell a lovely lavender bath product. It smells beautiful and leaves your skin feeling very soft.

I read in the Darnie thread that you fell in a bog on Sunday. I hope it wasn't a deep one?

I have to visit the recycling centre today as we have bags of hedge clippings which won't fit into our garden refuse recycling bin.

Have a good day, see you later.

Good morning

Oh thanks yogi, I'll definitely get some of that next time I'm in m&s champneys used to do a nice one but appear to have stopped selling it, at least in my local boots store.
Lol yes I did fall in a bog! I meant to tell you in here too. I went in up to my knees, both feet and it was sucking at me like a Hoover! I squealed like a girl had to crawl out on my knees and my boots were utterly drenched! I had another 2-3 miles to go too!
They're going to take ages to dry, in glad I have another pair in the house.
I wasn't hurt though and it really boosted the morale of my best friend and her dad, who were very tired & sore. At that point they had done about 52 miles!
