Good morning everyone

Quite sunny here at present but showers forecast by the afternoon.

The secret for married couples to remain together is to stop using margarine. Someone in the States has created a graph of the statistics in Maine which show a 99% correlation. The Harvard student who has created the graph has done this to try and demonstrate that with the careful choice of data statistics can be used to make some rather odd claims. Such as Facebook caused the debt crisis and a shortage of pirates is responsible for global warming.

El Loro

Good morning everyone, a blue sky morning here hope it is where you are too

Ha ha EL, I think it was Benjamin Disraeli who said 'there are three kinds of lies; lies, damned lies and statistics'

Your friends sound nice Summer, I like people who are easy to be with

I had a lovely phone call yesterday evening from a dear dear friend, she wanted to share something and it is still brightening my life this morning.  I won't go into details but it was to do with her brother-in-law who is being called home by his Lord.  Sometimes towards the end of a person's life God gives them a special glimpse of heaven.  My friend was telling me a few days earlier about when her father was at the end of his life and excitedly called his wife to show her the wonderful things he could see, all on a blank wall in the bedroom.

I hope everyone has a lovely Bank Holiday Monday, leaving a hug for moonie and for Skylark too

squiggle

Good morning squiggle,. That quote about statistics was popularised by Mark Twain in his "Chapters from my Autobiography" where he does attribute it to Disraeli. But as the quote hasn't been found in any of Disraeli's writing, it is thought that Twain may have come up with it himself.

Years ago when my grandfather was dying from lung cancer I had a dream where he reassured me that he would be alright when he died That was the last time I saw him in this life as he passed away a couple of days later.

Good morning, everyone. Raining up here.

Squiggle, that must have been a great comfort, both to your friend's father and to his wife.

Welcome back Moonie, I hope you are well.

Any sign of a flying visit from PB today?

Not today, but I am minding her tomorrow afternoon.

I'm catching up on ironing atm.

Good morning!
It's a lovely sunny day here and we spent an hour messing about in the park before our friends set off for home
I've got some washing on the line and more in the machine, I've hoovered up and done my bookkeeping for the week
Now, it's time to relax...

Squiggle, that's wonderful I love moments like that and I hope your friend was greatly comforted by what she has experienced I'm glad that you too have felt good from hearing her story too

She was very hesitant about phoning me Summer as it was after 9, but she said she must share with someone who loves Jesus, I felt very privileged.

Thanks yogi, a job well done

 You're welcome.

I love getting into the bed when the bedding is freshly laundered - bliss.

What will you be getting up to with PB tomorrow?

 Did he climb inside it?

On Saturday, PB ignored all her toys and played with an empty coke bottle.

I think I only have her for a couple of hours, so we can't go too far, but if it stays dry, I'll take her to the park and she can go on the swings.
