Oh dear I am plant buying again I bought a photinia to go in front of some old conifers that are brown down the bottom and a lavatera for a little border round the front that always gets invaded by weeds, might as well put something pretty in there instead

Had a lovely week with middle son and DiL. Weather was better than forecast and the scenery was stunning. Catching up on a mountain of washing atm but will be back later.

All my washing is now done, i have decided

Lawns tomorrow, if the weather is okay Hopefully I will edge them all tonight after the footie

Summer, I might possibly visit one day. I know there's a Steam Fair there being held over the next bank holiday weekend but it's ticket only and they seem to be charging £85.

 

Third load of washing is in (don't worry Moonie, I won't send it down to you) and I've been grocery shopping too.

Keira had a lovely time at my mum and dad's but she seems quite happy to be home.

Squiggle, I see your grandson had had the op on his shoulder. Is it healing well and is he managing to keep the arm close to his body?

Summer, I have missed you too. I hope you enjoy tea with your inlaws.

I did buy some French Fancies when I went shopping.  <- help yourself.

Keira had one of her beds with her at my mum's, but tonight she has a choice of two.

I have one more load of washing to do, then that's me caught up with the holiday washing. Tomorrow, or Monday, I'll catch up with the ironing.

She was really pleased to see me. She stayed very close to the door, as if to say "you aren't going home without me".

I missed her loads. Luckily there were lots of nice dogs to stroke in the Lake District.

 Not one to measure up to my girly.

But we did see a golden labrador called Harvey, and he even looked like my son's lab.

Good morning everyone

 

Another warm suuny day here, though it turns wet tomorrow onwards.

 

I heard some voices coming from outside yesterday evening but thought nothing of it. Later when I turned off the televison to go to bed I could still hear voices. I looked through the front windows and saw a group of people outside a couple of houses and people in one of the houses which had their curtains undrawn. They clearly were having a serious verbal altercation/ I don't know if there had also been a fight but it's likely. My area is a quiet area and what was going on was not normal here. I rang the police to report it. They said that there had been other reports. I was still on the phone and went outside to say what I could see and I was talking a police car drew up and 2 policemen got out to go and investigate. I told the person I was talking to that the police had arrived and we ended the conversation.

Later I looked through the curtains and the police car was still there. I think I saw one of the policemen in the house talking to someone. Later still I could still hear voices. I had another look through the curtains and saw a police van parked ouside as well. The voices stopped a bit later. I didn't look through the curtains again and went to bed. All seems quiet this morning.

 

Good morning everyone, the last really nice morning for a while I think.

 

An interesting evening EL, I am glad it settled down and you weren't kept awake.  Yogi I think my grandson's arm is actually strapped to his side at the moment, he is due to see his consultant tomorrow and to start physio soon.  He has had to put off his dental appointment, we asked the dentist's opinion and he said he thought he probably wouldn't be able to be comfortable in the dentist's chair until his arm is free.
