Summer, I'm glad you are feeling a bit better this morning

The client who is having the major meeting as I type this will be coming to see me afterwards. It's likely to be mid afternoon. I will then know what has been agreed or if nothing has been agreed. If the meeting between the two people involved takes longer than anticipated, he may see me tomorrow instead.

Because I do not know yet what they will decide on I do not know what work, if any, I will need to do. It is likely that my involvement with the client will be coming to an end. It could be today or a few weeks but I'm not expecting it to be much longter.

Good morning everyone, a little later this morning than usual but it's been a very busy morning.  I dropped my grandson in for day surgery on his shoulder first thing and then thought I would make the most of being in Barnstaple.  So I've done the weekly shopping (had a wonderful full English beforehand in the cafe - really delicious I haven't had a fry up for years and years) filled up the car with petrol, went through the carwash (free of charge, you get a free one every sixth one) picked up some firelighters at Homebase, went to the garden centre for some more compost, another weigela and a clematis and finally finished off at M & S to pick up some bits.  As you can imagine I am shattered but I've got some lovely munchies for later for my grandson as he's bound to be starving when I go and pick him up again.

I am so glad you are feeling better this morning Summer, remember how soothing and healing gargling with warm salt water is.

I hope your meeting goes well this afternoon EL.

A big hug for absent friends, especially Yogi who is having a wonderful time I hope.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good afternoon everyone

Sweet, so pleased you're feeling better today

Squiggle, I hope your grandson recovers well from his surgery and you have had a productive day already

El, good luck when your client arrives

I have just been shopping to the local town. Walked down the road to catch the bus. Got soaked. Shopped. Caught the bus back. Just as I got off the bus, it rained again. Got soaked

Still, home in the dry and warm now. Flippin cold out there today
Have a good day Buddies

Why is that EL?  Is your client retiring?

Moonie sorry you got caught in the showers.

My grandson is home safely, the anaesthetic  effect has not yet worn off on his arm, although he had a general I presume the shock effect will wear off in time and the arm will get painful.  He has to go back in 9 days to assess but he must not move the arm away from the body for 6 weeks.

Fankoo Squiggle water off a ducks back, as they say

Really pleased your grandson is home safely. Lets hope the pain isn't to bad Did they give him painkillers?

I don't think I could put up with having my arm by my body for 6 weeks

But if that's how it has to be then that's it

Moonie

Yes they gave him paracetomol and cocodamol, a week's supply but I stopped at the pharmacy on the way home and bought him paracetomol and ibuprofen so that if the pain goes on longer he won't have to worry about getting more.  Luckily he has learned to sleep on his back because the shoulder kept dislocating at night if he slept on his side.

How was your day?

It makes perfect sense Sweet

How are you feeling now, after last night?

My day was okay except for getting wet, twice on the way to shop and on the way back

I wish your grandson a speedy recovery, is he staying with you?

No he has moved into a flat with a mate but his mum is just over the road and he says his mate is going to help him.  I was very impressed he managed to get himself dressed at the hospital by himself, can't have been easy.

Do you have any whisky in?  Some people swear by it if they feel a cold coming.  I hope it doesn't last long

Good morning everyone

Currently quite sunny here but heavy showers forecast throughout today. The rest of the week looks more promising.

Squiggle, I'm glad your grandson's operation went well and I hope he recovers quickly

Re my client, although retirement is involved, there are other confidential factors.

Summer, I hope yout cold goes away quickly

El Loro

Good morning everyone, I am glad the cold looks as if it's not going to hang around too long, I hope the honey and lemon with a shot of brandy shows it the door.  I suggested whisky out of desperation as you were without a lemon, I hate the taste myself

The weather is nice and dry and set to stay for a few days, I hope it is where you all are too.

Enjoy your day everyone

If he supplied the correct information at the time and bearing in mind he is paying them for a service, I think he may have a point El
