The weather here is better than yesterday's forecast. Although there was some rain overnight, there's a fair amount of blue sky at present. It's likely that there will be showers for much of the day but it doesn't look to be a complete washout.

Good morning everyone, I think it's going to be rainy all day but I am not intending to go out so I shall just think how much good it's doing for the garden.

Apart from a very light shower the rain has stayed away here so far and I've been able to do my shopping without getting soaked.

I am glad you managed to stay dry EL, we are getting a right old mixture, with the ever present heavy wind which has been around for days and days.

I did buy a couple of M&S ultimate custard tart slices to try them out:

Strangely enough El, I just bought two small custard tars

 

 

Just had one and the other is for later

 

Btw, the earlier promise of rain has just arrived but shopping all done so I am a happy bunny

Yep, I was standing by the bus stop, which just happened to be right next to a cake shop and as I waited for the bus, I perused the cakes and decided on custard tarts

They all look delicious, have either of you ever tried Portuguese custard tarts, they are completely different to English ones but equally delicious.

Squiggle, no I haven't come across them.

Though there's no mention of cinnamon and I think the authentic tarts have cinnamon sprinkled on top after the icing sugar.

Evening all and happy custard tart day by the sounds of it I hope you've enjoyed the day, despite the rain.

You won't belieeeeeeve the evening I've had; bramble went missing! I was in the bath when mr summer called to ask for help, I flung on some clothes and ran out the door.. About 45 mins later BIL found her with some firemen who were about to take her to the police station I'm just very thankful she's safe, well and didn't get stolen

She was on her evening walk, she must have been on the trail of a rabbit and then gone to investigate the fire. Luckily she was local and myself, BIL and a friend were able to go join the search, and she would have known how to get home. She's so friendly though that she'd have gone with anyone who found her. I'm just very thankful we have her back

I think mr summer was more freaked out than me, I knew it was serious when he phoned me! She often runs off to chase rabbits but is never gone long, we just whistle and she reappears. She was gone about 20 mins before he called me

Anyway, how was your day? Are you excited about the season finale tomorrow?

Mine's longish but dries quickly, into a fluffy mess lol

Not to thick nowadays Sweet but I don't rub it I just let it dry naturally so it doesn't 'mat'

Good idea, I hate getting matted knots, it always happens in winter when I wear hats & scarves!
Do you get the hairdryer out?

I tried a hair dry once Sweet and tbh I didn't really like using it

Bramble doesn't like it either
